Lyrics

Didn't you see me dive in the river to save your little boy?
He had gone in over his head, chasing a rubber toy.
Well, I jumped in with my clothing on and oh, how the river roared!
What about my, what about my, what about, what about my reward?

As I was a-walkin' on down the road heading for the corner bar,
I saw a little girl step into the path of a rapidly-moving car.
I SHOUTED! And I grabbed her just in time, to save her from the speeding Ford.
What about my, what about my, what about, what about my reward?
What about my, what about my, what about, what about my reward?

Sirens screaming! People too! Flames rolling up to the clouds.
An old man looked from his fiery window far above the crowd,
And as he jumped, I turned away and prayed for his soul to The Lord.
What about my, what about my, what about, what about my reward?
What about my, what about my, what about, what about my reward?
What about my, what about my, what about, what about my reward?

i dont normally listen to rock music, but this made me a fan. i can see it in a movie. really good.

I really love the way the rhythm guitar starts out and all the lead guitar riffs are great. I love the drums as well, also the drum arrangements and guitar arrangements, Great Vocals!!!. Just a wonderful song to Rock Out to. Great Stuff for sure!!!

Nicely executed classic style rock song with a multi-decade appeal... very classic 70s sound in the vocals, a alot of 80s tone in the guitars and a 90s kind of mix in the drums. And a little country influence to tie it all together.

Fun listen!

Brings me to a zone that REO Speedwagon might have gone to in their heyday. Well played, well sung and well recorded!

Man this track is tight! I was looking for 10 stars option on the instrumentation, but the highest they will let me rate this is 5. This band has it totally together. It's an interesting story line...3 instances of saving a life and the question in the chorus: What about my reward? Very very catchy chorus. The guitars, the whole band sounds so amazing. Mix & production flawless. Instrumental section tight as can be. Very expressive and fun to listen to guitar parts! Vocals are crystal clear. Rhymes are fresh. Great song all around! Keep the good music coming!

Nice anthemic sound right from get go with those guitars really driving the song. Nice instrumentation and some nice playing. Like the vocal and harmonies, they work well within the structure of the song. I selected the Rock as the genre but there's a touch of Country going on here as well which I love. Nicely done.

Excellent guitar tones. All the sounds on this song definitely feel straight from a 90s record, and those records sounded great! The band/musicians on this tune are definitely quality players and it is produced very well. Some great bass playing going on here! I really enjoy the production tricks like use of delay on vocals and crack sound on the snare drum.
