Lyrics

Friday night you love to Karaoke.
The doors open and your first in line.
You do Sinatra, Eminem or Smokey.
Next thing you know everybody's dyin'!
You prob'ly think they're all laughing with you,
but let me tell you, it's not that way.
They're countin' down the seconds 'til it's over,
so as a friend I've got to say:

Friends don't let friends drive everyone crazy.
Your rap is crap & you just can't sing.
You think you're Usher, Pharrell or even Jay Z,
but let's be honest - it's not your thing.

Saturdays you're always on the dance floor,
shake 'n bakin' everything you've got.
You only miss a step or 2 or 50
and all the girls wish that you'd just stop!
Maybe you need another shot of courage
to get back out and blow them away,
but no amount of liquor's gonna give you rhythm,
so as a friend I've got to say:

Friends don't let friends drive everyone crazy.
You think you're smooth but you've got no swing.
You're Dirty Dancin', but nothing like Swayze,
so let's be honest - it's not your thing.

Anytime I see you at a party,
you're tellin' stories to impress the crowd.
You make yourself the center of attention,
but they all see you as just too loud!
You try so hard to steer the conversation,
but all your jokes are so passé.
Everybody's looking at their watches,
so as a friend I've got to say:

Friends don't let friends drive everyone crazy.
You strut around like some kind of king,
but you don't need to be anybody's punch line.
Just BE YOURSELF and do your thing.
Friends don't let friends drive everyone crazy. Oooooooh.
Friends don't let friends drive everyone crazy. Oooooooh.

If there's one thing I love, it's a fun catchy melody, and this one bounces like an updated "Windy." It's lyrically different and punchy, and the vocalist makes you want to listen to all the words. The rhythm guitar wisely puts an emphasis on every other quarter note and the synthesizer is delightful. The story line has a message but the biggest attraction is how that fun, catchy melody moves and makes you hum and sing along! The movie producers better start looking at this terrific tune.

What a great track - as good as anything you hear on the radio. Great vocals and instrumentation.
Watch out Katy Perry Taylor Swift e al.

Top marks for this !

I like the immediate impact made by the intro. Nice change at 0.46. I like the lead vocal and the use of backing vocals - great singing performance. Nice little instrumental bridges between the sections. Very strong and entertaining lyrics. A really tight sound. Great sound quality. Broadcast quality Really well mastered.

This is a certified hit, Katie Perry stand back!! Great Vocals, terrific music, super story line, Hmmmmmm what's left! Maybe a Gold Record and Best new song and artist of the year!! This also has a Walk on the Moon feel, I think that's the band! Again, this is the best and most original thing I have heard on Broad Jam in a very long time!! Can't wait to find out who wrote and produced this incredible tune!!!

Good song, it has a catchy tune, I could see this song being used in an advert, tv, or even a film. I was moving to the song on second play, it has a nice beat, fits pop and pop/rock. I can hear all the vocals, lyrics flow, yes very good song.
