That's One Thing (Intro Only)

Story Behind The Song

This is the ethereal, extended "intro only" version of my song That's One Thing (You Don't Understand About Me)

Hauntingly-beautiful and intentionally sparse, this is a melancholy look back at a relationship that wasn't meant to be. Wistful and romantic, the song has a dreamlike retrospective quality.

Lyrics

Wouldn't it be somethin', if I could have your love again?
Wouldn't that be somethin' to see?
When it's been a long time.
Has it been such a long time you've forgotten
all the things we had together?
Oooh it makes me sad,
Looking back on days of greener pastures with you.
With you.

Beatiful piece of work. Unique in every way.

Fascinating atmosphere. Beautiful guitar arrangement. Lovely vocals. The song is very suitable for films dramas about love. Perhaps interspersed with fantasy, space, science.

Love it, love it..............

Excellent voice and a very good job of singing! Your vocal is recorded well and choice of reverb is spot on. At 1:53 minutes it really doesnt' need anything more. Loved it!

Here is a song that is short on time but long on love and deep in feeling. The intro sets up the song with a smooth, anticipatory groove that is pleasing to the ears. Nice guitar sound. When the vocal comes in, it melds beautifully with the instruments. The clarity and quality of the vocal is remarkable. Great recording technique and production.

Intro is intriguing. I like the Pink Floydish guitar accompaniment, really settles the song into a nice pulse. Come very nice vocal lines. Interesting chord changes, match the vocal content. Very good mix and sound quality. I enjoyed the story... it's a story line that just about everyone or anyone could relate to. Great job on this song.

Wow! This caught my ear immediately and held my attention throughout. It packs a great punch within its compact dimensions. The tonic pedal adds a tension and insistence. The vocals are superb, and are beautifully recorded. The lyrics are thoughtful, intelligent and meaningful. It has real emotional presence, and the quality of the music underpins the meaning of the lyrics precisely. Its short length is in some ways quite enigmatic, but adds a mystery which is quite enchanting.

The melody of the song is very strong with a lovely melodic change at 1.11. Excellent vocal tone and performance. A simple but strong lyric idea. I like the sparse guitar chords over the keyboard. Nicely recorded with good sound quality.
