Tender Kisses Everywhere

Story Behind The Song

Every traveling musician has been exactly here, meeting someone that could be "the one" but knowing you have to leave.

Song Description

Acoustic piano and male voice only, this is a poignant and romantic ballad about love at first sight, but also realizing things may never come to pass. Passionate and longing, it questions whether shyness wins or if you might be missing out on "the one" from inaction.

Lyrics

Don't even know you - just met you today, but I can't sleep
thinking about your eyes.
You disarm me with your perfect smile. Your quiet style
takes my breath away.
But it's hard to be myself with you. I can't imagine why.
Something makes me hesitate around you. If only I could show you,
wrap my arms around and hold you,
Showering you with tender kisses everywhere.

After all, you're just another girl and I shouldn't let myself get carried away.
People come and people go, but once in a while
you want that special one to stay. Well I know I'm actin' crazy,
and maybe I should leave you alone,
but the voices in my heart tell me to go on.
If only I could show you,
wrap my arms around and hold you,
Showering you with tender kisses everywhere.

I don't even know you - just met you today, but I can't sleep
thinking about your eyes!
You disarm me with your perfect smile. Your quiet style
takes my breath away. Ooooh-hoo. Woooh-hoooooooooo.

So enjoyable , i had to play it 3 times !
Love the vocal , quite outstanding .

Since this is just a piano/vocal song, I am calling N/A on instrumentation and arrangement quality.

The lyric is well written. I like the internal rhyming. The piano has to be perfect since it's the only instrument, and it is. This song achieves a songwriter's goal. To say I Love You, without saying I Love You.

This is a beautiful song. Good work.

The lyrics are very interesting obviously coming from a real life experience. At least it sounded like it. Great vocals and potentially beautiful song with some strings thrown in and buildup at the end. Love the piano playing.

Reminds me of something the Chicago singer Peter Cetera - some lovely chord progressions in there.

With just piano and vocal, this song hits a grand slam. The vocal is simply amazing. Crystal clear, honest delivery, perfect enunciation. I love the upper range of this artist. With a voice like this he could be singing Mary had a little lamb and I'd love it! This is a really great love song. Piano and mix are perfect. Love the ending.
