David Poole was created by Thomas Thurlow and Kate Nikles in 2018 as the flagship musician to represent Readymade Utopia. The Readymade Utopia team aims to explore how we can combine different forms of media to create a world for our musicians to live in and how this impacts the way listeners experience the music. As a resident of the Readymade Utopia universe, Poole's work both exists within and helps to expand this world.

"Just because it's sad doesn't mean it can't be fun!" is David Poole's musical ethos. Through electronic dancefloor rhythms, immersive soundscapes, and lyrics that use imagery and wordplay to propel a narrative, Poole's work embodies his struggles and triumphs as an up-and-coming musician in Three Cloud City, the creative hub of Readymade Utopia.
