I'm a songwriter, writing on keyboard and guitar, and also enjoy top-line collaborations. My PRO is BMI. I'm getting songs placed in music libraries, and am a member of the SongTown Country and SYNC Edge Groups. Rock, country, pop, and character songs are what I lean towards. I'm focused on both SYNC placements and artist pitches. I'm not shooting for singer/songwriter opportunities. I had a long career in NYC as an actor, performing in everything from Broadway musicals to contract roles on daytime TV shows. I now live in the Mad River Valley in Vermont. Cheers!

Hi Jason - If/when you think you might jump in with SongTown, let me know. We'll have a phone or ZOOM talk. Amazing opportunities, classes, networking, and pitching songs directly to industry pros if you audition for, and get into their 'Edge Groups' (as they call them). I'm getting to pitch country songs directly to artists and publishers who are looking for songs for their clients. I just had the chance to pitch to Brandon Davis and Charlie Worsham. Sounds awesome! Congrats on all that. My producer is currently getting me into some of those rooms too, but there is always room for more rooms! NSAI provides some publisher pitches, song evaluations, mentoring, etc. I'm gonna stick with it the rest of the year but I may give SongTown a try real soon!

Yep - character song. Broadway/Disney...I watched a LOT of Disney musicals while raising my daughter, and when I did the 1994-1996 revival of 'She Loves Me ' on Broadway, my then 4 -yr-old got to meet the actors who did the voices of 'Jaffar' and 'Alladin' - both actors were in our cast. A thrill for her!

Thanks for the review of my tune Sorry! I appreciate the detailed feedback and suggestions. For info 'Ms Scheindlin' was a reference to Judge Judy (Scheindlin) and the being judged inference in the story in the song. Thanks again! :-)

Ah...OK...the Judge Judy reference might narrow your audience, though. The lyrics have a nice impact when you're staying with YOUR feelings and thoughts.
