You're welcome, Nigel. I liked those 80s songs as well. "One Night in Bangkok," "Life in a Northern Town," "Sanctify Yourself," the punk of Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division, stuff I can't write or record...and I loved the fluffy, sugary ballads of the Carpenters and David Gates (my "Stay Here Now" reflects that), and the disco tinged songs of the Bee Gees (my collaboration with Robert Quigley on "You Can Feel It"). Robert and I have realized we've got to update our sound and go more towards EDM, so I've been teaching myself mix/mastering and we'll look more into those styles. I love the mix of New Age synths and the energy that EDM has. I'd say with your songwriting skills, your dream of having a pop artist record your songs is in your favor. Best to you, Nigel. I included you in my latest news (not that I have any kind of following) but maybe a few friends will drop on by to listen to your pieces. John

Thanks for the review of my tune Sorry! I appreciate the detailed feedback and suggestions. For info 'Ms Scheindlin' was a reference to Judge Judy (Scheindlin) and the being judged inference in the story in the song. Thanks again! :-)

Hi Nigel -
Thanks for the follow-up.
It's a nice song.
Ah...OK...the Judge Judy reference might narrow your audience, though. The lyrics have a nice impact when you're staying with YOUR feelings and thoughts.
Good luck with it!

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for listening to "Do You Wanna Dance". Sorry you hated it, but jeez, it's just a cover of a 1958 R&R tune by Bobby Freeman, tried to make it a little retro. Still friends I hope, like your stuff...
Bill

Bob thank you for the review of my instrumental tune Tenderly - I appreciate your comments and I agree that the drum track should be lower in the mix. I'll revisit it and remix pater. Cheers!

"Laguna Beach" is lovely smooth jazz. You are correct about Freddy Mercury's talents ("Barcelona Intro"). The entire group of Queen were made up of incredible virtuosos!

Hi John and thanks for the review of my instrumental version of my tune The Grace of God. I appreciate your critique! The more it developed the more I heard it as a Michael Jackson type ballad. You might detect a hint of inspiration by the likes of Quincy Jones etc. Good Luck to you with your music!

Thanks for the review of Quantum Dance! It's a dance version of a more jazz based version I originally wrote - you're right about the 80's vibe - my sound library is not modern, sadly. Thanks again. I appreciate it.

Hi John, many thanks for your review of the keyboard version of my tune All of the Above. I have a funky version too. For info I did turn the books on the perspective towards the end of the song - where the lyrical content comes from the perpetrator rather than the recipient of events.......thanks again!
