Here is song #4 in my October 'Halloween-ish' countdown series ..."SOUL DECAY". This is track 5 from my "ZOMBUS" CD and one that I am am a bit partial to ... a nice mix of orchestral, synth and electric guitar. It is free to download from Broadjam.com.

Joe, I only have them uploaded on Facebook right now. Will that work? I am uploading them to photo bucket if that would work better. Let me know.

Hi,

You recently reviewed my 'Happy Times Chamber Music' and left these comments:

Positive Comments
good to listen to the beginning of selection

What does this mean, exactly?

Your review didn't really give me any constructive ideas about how to improve the piece except that the 'ending seemed to(o) abrupt' Why was the Quality of Recording only 3/5? Was the recording muddy or were the instruments hard to hear in the mix? Do the instruments sound unreal or is there some other reason you only gave 3/5 on Quality of Instrumentation?

If you are going to give a review that's less than favorable, please let the writer know what they can do to improve their song or what specifically led you to leave a negative review.

Thanks,

Tzuriel

Number one, I did not consider my review a negative one. I considered it realistic, as per the music conferences that I attend and the reality of the business itself. Number two, 'Classical' is sort of a new genre for me to discover, and I am using comparisons to other 'classical' selections that I listen to, including 'standards' and broadjam selections from other artists in my review.

The ending was abrupt in its production ... no gentle fade .. an abrupt stop ...a bit choppy.

The beginning was good to listen to - although a tad unclear, i agree, I meant that a producer listening to it would not skip over it after 5-10 seconds ...which is important if you want it to be heard.

Recording ...could have been better, more industry standard

'Voice quality' of the instruments could have been better, but not bad .... average.

I actually thought that the song basis was good - sounded similar to the 'Hallijuliah Chorus' at points, but that is a good thing.

I hope that this helps you, but keep in mind that anyone who reviews your music can only give THEIR opinion. And, to be honest, I am harder on my OWN music than anyone else's ... [smile]. --- Joe
