Songwriting, playing music, and performing has been Mike's passion for the past four decades. In the 60's and 70's he was the lead screamer, performer, songwriter , and toured for a few bands mostly (The Sherwoods and The Steve Long Group) out of Houston, TX. Writing mostly Rock-n-Roll, Acid Rock, and Blues. The Sherwoods had a regional song called "I Know You Cried" on their own "Now Sounds Label". Later the Sherwoods went to L.A. and record for "Mercury Records" .
After being disenchanted with the music business he moved to Colorado. He began writing songs about the mountains, his experiences and the people. Then he moved to Nashville, TN, joined the NSG and wrote and pitched to country singers. He then moved to Austin, TX and started writing gospel, joined a Biker Ministry and wrote "Biker Christian Rock". He moved to Kingsland, TX on Lake LBJ and and started a different style of music about living on the lake in the Hill Country of Texas.

Hello!
Mike has been busy working on Barnville Music Farm getting ourselves ready for our first Music Event. He is planning on finishing the stage in the next couple of weeks. He has been playing with the River Rats at Pattons in Marble Falls and Freddie Krc has invited him to play a set with him at Ruta Maya's last month and this past Sunday. Its always such great fun for Mike to be on stage with Steady Freddie 5 and the Frontier a Go-Go. Thanks Freddie.
