Over two decades of songwriting, touring, and guitar-slinging along the road less traveled have brought Henry Harris to his latest collection of musical snapshots, “Voyeuristic Souvenirs”. The songs are as unique as folks you might find wandering a carnival midway, with styles ranging from rockabilly to soulful ballads; blues and country beats to funky riffs; to the haunting title track—all tied together with powerful guitar melodies and strong lyrical images.

With influences like John Hiatt, Jimmy Page, Don Henley and Tom Petty, Henry Harris writes songs that cover topics all along the human journey: from love and loss, hope and regret—to the more revealing and somewhat cynical observations of what’s become of today’s gunslinger, who has “traded his six-gun in for a cell phone” in “Suburbia”.

Whether you prefer the merry-go-round or the roller coaster—you’re sure to find your own favorite ‘Voyeuristic Souvenir’ to hum all the way home.

Henry Harris Biography

Over two decades of songwriting, touring, and guitar-slinging along the road less traveled have brought Henry Harris to his latest collection of musical snapshots, “Voyeuristic Souvenirs”. The songs are as unique as folks you might find wandering a carnival midway, with styles ranging from rockabilly to soulful ballads; blues and country beats to funky riffs; to the haunting title track—all tied together with powerful guitar melodies and strong lyrical images.

An avid songwriter since he was 12, Henry studied at the Berklee College of Music and performed and recorded with the pop rock group “Boys Next Door” in the mid 80s—including opening gigs for Cheap Trick and Bon Jovi as national finalists for the 1988 Yamaha Soundcheck competition. The band released several albums including “Younger Days”, whose title track made a brief appearance at #96 on the Billboard charts, and “What will the Neighbors Think”. In the early 90s Henry co-formed the more rock-inspired harmonic “S’aint America” band and continued to build a strong club touring and radio presence throughout the Midwest. Now based out of his home state of New Hampshire, Henry’s work to date includes radio jingles and television show theme music along with his extensive songwriting catalog.
