Long Bio

Margaret McClure is a 15 year veteran in the music business. Writing, producing and recording from her studio (T-Street Sound Lab in San Clemente, CA), as well as Bigrock Studios in Escondido. In the music industry, Margaret has become a powerful one stop shop for all things creative, relevant, and commercial.
Her honest innovative songwriting and unique lyrical view point are the roots of her success. Because of her natural ability to transcend the genres and demographics that so many artists and writers are boxed into, she works in several genres including, Pop, Electronic, R&B, AAA, Rap, Latin, Americana and Rock but tends to favor uptempo and unusual. She has also gained much notoriety in film and television. McClure's music has been signed to high end companies like Universal, Mastersource and Pen Music Group. Her songs have been featured on Access Hollywood, Guiding Light, Good Morning America, and many other shows on Lifetime, MTV, CMT, VH1, and PBS just to name a few of the hundreds of placements she is credited with.

In addition to being a member of various artist collaborations and bands, Margaret was recently hired as a staff writer for the new label, OC9. She is also a founding member of the writing group "The System".McClure is also a voting member of The Recording Academy (The Grammys). Her album with "The Unconditionals" received a San Diego Music Award nomination for best local recording in 2014.

As Head of A&R and Marketing at Big West, Margaret spearheads the discovery and development of emerging and established talent. "We work with the best artists to produce real music you can feel. We plan on bringing a new style of record company to the music industry and putting the San Diego music scene on the map. We will be leading the way in both original sound and innovative marketing.", says McClure.

Contributing great original music to the industry is Margaret's life goal but she has also served as a stylist who has helped shaped the images of many young artists just starting out. She often serves as a mentor, teacher and collaborator to those who are at the beginning of or at a crossroad in their careers. Longevity and quality is key for Ms. McClure, and the age of the "one hit wonder" is over!

"Margaret McClure is one of the most respected songwriters on Broadjam.com. She is a gifted, creative and unique writer. An expert at writing current Pop-Rock songs, but can stretch into other genres as well. Her most recent collaboration, The Unconditionals, with Liz Miller is one of the best I have ever heard from a Broadjam member". - Roy Elkins, Founder of Broadjam.com

"Magic Pill is an ear and brain gripping musical travelog that savagely observes the dark, and occasionally lighter, side of the post Bush/mid -Obama confusion-ridden societal morass from the sly and occasionally caustic perspective of The Unconditionals' Margaret McClure and Liz Miller. The tracks capture your head, heart and gut with their outward smart-rock accessibility but display a satirical sting with large doses of biting humor. Aimed at men and women of all ages, and even cockroaches, Magic PIll spans a gritty spectrum of love, courage, regret, scorn, wit and most of all courage, that leaves an indelible imprint on your psyche. Magic Pill is sure to take it's place alongside the best work of Natalie Merchant, Alanis Morisette and Patti Smith. Feel free to surrender to The Unconditionals". - John De Simio , Executive Vice President, Broadcast Film Critics Association /Board of Directors

I was hoping you'd figured out the best way to tackle the brass in "Doing alright." I was gonna steal your chords (smiles.)

Jazzy... I went with non Jazzy. Not a jazz guy as much as I love it.

Good work!

Funny you'd be the only other person on Broadjam who jumped on this one as fast as I did.

Good stuff.
