Biography

Supervixen is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/guitar player Kim Jetter. The group was founded in the fall of 2003 when music school graduate Jetter met lead guitar player Justin Pomietlarz. Sharing the same musical influences, Pomietlarz added to the already growing repertoire Jetter had composed. When bassist Jason Bertini and drummer Gerard SanGemino joined in 2004, the four-piece now known as Supervixen became official. Since the summer of 2004 Supervixen has played New York City clubs like the Continental, the c-note, Arlenes Grocery, Ottos Shrunken Head, and Don Hills to name a few.

Supervixen blends classic hard rock with a pop edge. Often described as dirty, trashy, rock-n-roll, sexy siren Jetter matches her songs with a stage performance as "vixen-like" as her band name. With carefully crafted songwork by Jetter, Supervixen's inspiration hails from the likes of Guns N' Roses and AC/DC. Jetter's compelling lyrics include topics such as sex, childhood sexual abuse, abusive relationships, and sel-loathing. They present listeners with a female perspective unlike the "sugar-coated" pop music of today's market. With the crafty leadwork by Pomietlarz, the driving bass lines from Bertini, and the fierce drumming of SanGemino, Supervixen endlessly entertains.
