Story Behind The Song
When I was born my father gave a silver bracelet to my mother - it was signed 'Tenderly, Don'. I took the inspiration from such a gesture to write this song about the love a parent discovers on the birth of a child, and how they might also see in a new light, the love they were recipients of themselves as children.
