Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song for a friend's screenplay from the point of view of a ten-year-old girl whose mother died when she was really young. The mother was troubled, but adored her daughter and the movie is about a story the mother told the daughter that gives her hope that her mother will come back to her. So, the song is hopeful and kind of poignant because we know she isn't coming back (or is she? It's a great screenplay!) This song was meant to play at the very end when it almost looks like the daughter's hope and faith in her dead mother is vindicated. The movie hasn't been made yet, maybe won't ever be, but I got this great song out of it!
