Story Behind The Song

Ridin' Fences was inspired by the feelings of loneliness and isolation brought on as a result of the current pandemic. As a way to work through the loneliness, I imagined that the feelings were probably very similar to those experience by the cowboys of the Old West as they were tending to their cattle in the vast open plains. I picked up my guitar and started playing a little riff and humming a melody which later turned into the harmonica part, and Ridin' Fences was born.
