Story Behind The Song

Matthew C. Bauder and Joshua Green had been working on writing a few songs together in Matthew's apartment one afternoon when a simple chord progression was played by one of them (neither Matthew nor Joshua can remember who)and the other said, "that sounds Christmasy". In a moment of inspiration Matthew and Joshua quickly hammered out the remaining song structure and lyrics to Christmas in an effort to keep it light, joyful and in high spirits.

Song Description

A touching song about waiting for their loved one to return home for Christmas. "Christmas" is an Alt country song with a more traditional feel but includes some elements of country rock, driven by acoustic guitars, a simple back beat and walking bass. Electric guitar, organ, church bells and sleigh bells fill in the arrangement throughout. "Christmas" has both a sentimental and celebratory feel, perfect for any Christmas celebration.
