Lyrics

Lighter Shade of Blue

Heard the wind come over the hill,
As the sun came up.
Ah that memory gave me a chill
But your white warms me up.
Let the ground swell rumble and tumble us down.
We will not be afraid.
With their hearts on fire let them talk of love.
That's a very old charade.

Chorus
You're the dime in my pocket.
You're the stone in my shoe
You're a dream that I've forgotten
You're a lighter shade of blue.

Saw a rainbow roll in a stream.
It made me think of you.
A perfect lover is not what I mean,
You're a lot of colors too.
I can't understand what began so slow
Seems that everything takes time.
And it's for your to always know
That my love hides in this rhyme

Great vocals and harmonies. I like the choice of instruments. The mix was good. This would be a great song to accompany a scene in a movie.

Everything in the song fits together so well. All the instruments compliment the melody and the lyrics. Love the bass part toward the end.

Beautiful love song! The hook is awesome! Very catchy! The strings, mandolin, guitars, and bass blend and go well together. The vocal harmonies for the hook are great! Very well structured song. Great!
