Lyrics

So, you're the one I have heard about
I know you from her photographs
She would talk about how well you danced
And the summer nights
And the arguments.

You don't know me
That's how I want it to be
I won't let you see
That I had known her, too.

Well, maybe, it was circumstance
I never should have taken the chance
In a faraway town, she was passing through
We fought and cried
In a summer feud.

You don't know me
I'll keep it that way
I'll never let you see
That I had known her, too.

You don't know me
I'll keep it that way
I'll never let you see
That I had known her, too.

So I'll turn around, don't you follow me
I don't have any notes for you to see.

You don't know me
I'll keep it that way
I'll never let you see
That I had known her, too.

This song is very interesting type of a love song. I really like the lead guitar solo. I also like the lead vocals. I like the sound of the drums as well. The song sounds a little like sixties music, which I like...best wishes!

This is a really interesting and compelling mixture of styles, kind of neuvo jazz/rock/lounge. Maybe a cross between Morrissey and Amy Winehouse. The performance radiates passionate aloofness. The chorus is excellent and the abrupt transition chord from major to minor creates a sense of ambiguity.

Nice full sound in this recording. The vocals are very present and clear. Vocal is very upfront in the mix and I like it for this song. Tracks are solid... Love the entrance of the strings in the second verse, placed just right in the mix. Lyrics are good and very clear. Good job blending programmed instruments with live, the song feels live.
