People Are the Reason Why

Hear the whales, cry out from the ocean
Tarnished by the tortured tide
Beware the sun, is sinking with the notion
Another creature has to die

Watch the birds, headed for the heavens
Falling from the filthy sky
Hear the man, no one has an answer
But, people are the reason why

---Chorus---
People are the reason why, no water's fit to drink
And the forest full of trees all soon will die
People are the reason why, the air is hard to breath
And all the other creatures wonder why
The people find it easy to deny
----------------------

--Verse Instrument Solo--

Is there time, time to save the garden
Can we stop what we've begun?
Is there hope, have we taught the children?
To change what we have all become

-Repeat Chorus-

Can the world, survive the exploitation?
Who will pay the final price?
We must see beyond the revelation
People are the reason why
And that includes both you and I
People are the reason why

Absolutely loved this song. It told a story that is so true! It has meaning! The lyrics, the instrumentation, hook, recording, and arrangement were all A-1. I enjoyed listening and this song definitely has "placement" written all over it! Great job!

This has such a happy feel, and such a deep message. This technique is a key method in effective messaging and marketing. Wow. Surprise to hear this used so effectively in a song. The use of the whole-step instead of a 5th in the the "people are the reason why" part of the hook is an amazing touch. This song is really heavy, while thoroughly enjoyable as a piece of music. Funny, I'm just getting ready to go hand in my new volunteer form for the Golden Gate Nationa Park service... wow... how can such a great piece of music be so unsettling? very very very well done. I've played it a couple of times.

nice instrumentation . love the violin its not overplayed nice and subtle. the vocals are well delivered. nice harmonies. verse's flow nicely into chorus. this would be great live.

nice work. good instrumentation. vocals can be heard. more folk than anything. nice work

The vocal sound is good, the quality of the instruments is nice, and the song is specific and understandable and very unique. I applaud the composer for the brave subject matter. I also like that it isn't too long and goes on and on.

now that's a folk song - bringing light to the social causes of our day. Great instrumental too! You had me hanging on to hear the ending of your song. Love your lyrics! and that ending was cool ;)

Very nice composition with a compelling message. Vocal is very pleasing and sets well in the mix. Instrumentation is very good and tasteful. A nice professional work. I very much enjoyed the listen.

Very pleasant arrangement of a meaningful song

Oh dear - yes! That is telling them/us. Sing it out loud. I half find it creepy that you have set such dark truths to such light and pleasant music. happy music. It makes for delicious irony. I hope you mean it to be ironic. The song is so sincere and so true that it almost hurts more to have it sung to such very pretty music.
