Story Behind The Song
I wanted to date one of my fellow grad students/teaching assistants in the worst way, but she just wasn't having it. It took the whole school year, but I finally decided to move on. Then, after listening to some Motown and Foxboro Hot Tubs, I realized I needed to write this song in their styles.
Song Description
After many desperate pleas, many sad rejections and tons of advice from friends, the boy finally gets over the girl... but what's next?

Lyrics
I think it was about a year ago
I told you how I felt and then you told me "no"
Summer, fall and winter comes and goes and now it's
CHORUS
Springtime and I'm over you
I gotta start a new season, it's
Springtime, can I make it through?
I gotta find a new reason
I guess it's been about a year by now
You said I had to deal, I said, "I don't know how"
You've gotta plant a seed before you plow and now it's
CHORUS
Ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooh, ooh ooh
It's been a year and I forgot your name
I found a couple things to occupy my brain
I should be happy that I feel no shame and now it's
Springtime and I'm over you
I gotta start over again, it's
Springtime, can I make it through?
I kinda fell off the wagon, it's
CHORUS
Ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooh, ooh ooh
