Story Behind The Song
Our singer Garth was going though a tough period in his life. Depression, self-doubt and substance abuse. He wrote the lyrics to this describing how lonely he felt.
The words in the song lyrics " To the farthest reaches of the planets" describes how far away Garth really felt from everyone and everything and how in a strange way this was comforting.
Song Description
The song starts out with a beautiful, sad guitar intro leading into full band verses that take you through a journey of melodic sadness. The end of the song has a slightly different theme with heavy guitar driven cord, bludgeoning bass tones and slamming ( think john bonham) drums.

Planets Lyrics
Dragging my head around, lost in a sorrow built with fear
Something inside of me, just wants to disappear, disappear
Cuz I believe that, everything is going to be alright
Yes I believe that , everything is going to be alright
when I am gone.
To the farthest reaches of the planets
the vicious winds I'll soon forget
I would rather be were all the stars shine
Cuz i'm restless now..
Life in this universe, I'm riding through this way too fast
Something inside of me, just wants it's final breath, final breath
Cuz I believe that, everything is going to be alright
Yes I believe that , everything is going to be alright
when I am gone.
To the farthest reaches of the planets
the vicious winds I'll soon forget
I would rather be were all the stars shine
Cuz i'm restless now..
To the farthest reaches of the planets.
