Our Friends, the Savages (OFTS) stems from Madison, WI and cultivated in 2015. The members-Erik, John, Michael, and Shawn-come from projects past and present such as Wherewolverines, Rust Belt Sermon, and Outlander. Their songs follow a landscape of highs and lows, loud and soft, groovy and choppy.

Insightful and restless-OFTS' lyrics explore the dynamics of the human existence from the personal turmoil of interdependent relationships to the societal constructs of culture and politics. The very essence of their name binds these divergent dimensions. The music offers a logical backbone and a necessary emphasis to the associated emotions. One song may find a polyrhythmic drum beat, a searing lead, an atypical chord structure, and a prodding bass line all directing the listener to think, listen, and react.
