Returning back to composing after abandoning it for quite sometime. I see now that I can still keep up with today's sound and within the genre I produced in, which was mainly Hip hop. I've wanted to compose music since high school, but didn't know that other avenues like sync licensing existed. I mainly use Image Line's FL Studio to compose, mix, and master. Stock sounds are dated without heavy tweaking which is why I would recommend buying new sound packs or VSTs which I didn't have money for in high school. I look forward to helping libraries, publishers, and music supervisors find the sound they are looking for.
