"You're forewarned to expect a little of the unexpected from this talented singer/songwriter." - Dan MacIntosh

His music has been called, catchy, soothing, soulful, and sophisticated. With recent song placements on the CBS Soap Opera, "The Young and The Restless", the NBC Soap, "Days of Our Lives", and the hit FOX series, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", Pop/R&B singer-songwriter Jared Jones is beginning to make serious moves in the music industry. At the beginning of 2011 alone, he has sung backup for the legendary Whitney Houston, and 90s R&B star Johnny Gill, has completed the recording of his first album, "What Could've Been", and released his first music video of the same title.

Born on February 14, 1986, in Summit, NJ, Jared Jones was created with a passion for music and entertainment. At two years old, he began learning how to dance through watching endless Michael Jackson videos, and can be seen in old pictures singing on a toy microphone. He entertained classmates from 1st grade, throughout his high school years.

A self proclaimed "shy", Jones grew up in church and participated in choirs, but did not begin singing until age 13. "I would lip-sync with the rest of the choir because I was too scared of what people would say about my voice". That all changed out of necessity at a skating night with his church youth group, where he met the girl who would inspire his first song. "Naudia". He recorded the song on his karaoke machine that same night. Though a three-sport athlete in high school, he found time to join the high school chorus in 9th grade. There he developed close friendships with Ezemdi Chikwendu, Melvin Hill, and Javan Holligan. The four formed the group True Talent, and performed at school and community events. After graduating in 2004 from Randolph High School and completing his freshman year at Elon University in North Carolina, Jones returned home to create music publishing and licensing company, Speak-EZ Music.

Jones has already faced the ups and downs of trying to sustain a career in the music industry. "I've been on the phone with Atlantic Records, hoping that it was my break. I've had a label showcase scheduled only to fall through, but I've also had the major TV placements. I've just learned to keep doing what I do, and keep adapting to the changes in the business". A fan of the revolutionary trend in the new music business, DIY (Decide-It-Yourself), Jones financed his first full album, and music video, "What Could've Been". "I like making my own creative decisions, and living and dying by them. I believe you do what you do best, and then you find your market. There is a fan for every type of music. Now it's a matter of how smart, not hard, I'm willing to work to make sure they hear the music, and the stories that will affect them."

Jones will continue to focus on writing songs for film and television projects, and to place songs with developing recording artists. He is working with music producers from across the globe on new songs for his own projects, and wants to build a global brand with his music. "God has blessed me with a gift, and I will not let it go to waste. He's given me the opportunity to create success."
