Hey Theirry, listening to your wonderful composition,"B4U", very lush & beautiful arrangement! Catherine Boulanger, gives a Great Performance with her vocals, are the cello parts real or loops?? Whatever......they are magical Sir!! 5 Stars & Likes! Stay Safe & sport a Mask! Art Corey.............
Thank you guys. The cello is a virtual instrument here, I finally found one that sounds very decent to my ears :-) ait is part of the "Trio Broz Solo Strings" series from Fluffy Audio. You too, take care, stay safe. Xoxo
Thanks sir for the playlist add for "I'm Better Now" , much appreciated!!
hey kid, Shine original is very very cool, how'd i miss this? anyway, i like the build and production very "today"--kudos...keep shining... wh
Thanks for the stars on "Shine", Warren! Check out this link of my before and after with StudioPros. I just have to laugh now of how I put so many crazy loops together for my demos in 2017!! This should give anyone hope for their music when they see what a real studio can do! https://studiopros.com/featured-art ist-susan-odella/
Oops, that link may not work any more. You may be able to search featured projects - it's there under 2017 - August.
ok i'll try, and yep, i've used them waaayyy back, but like an idiot (and cheap?) i didn't always get the stems...they originally did Ga Ga for me, which is now No More Seesaw (had the stems...and reworked) but check out what i'll re-record "someday" "Close Your Eyes", never did get the damn key right for the singer, and you'll hear her attempt to "fix" it...i was so much younger then, and older than that now...wait, i misquoted Dylan...ha!
Yes, I spent a lot of money with StudioPros in the past, but moved on except when I like one of their vocalists. I've done a lot of remixes, so I always get the stems. I did a remix of StudioPros "Diamond" with a different producer, and now it will be a featured Tasty Tracks on Songtradr. Wish I was a young friend of Dylan while he grew up 20 minutes away...haha!
"Four" Warren??!! :)
Well...it's an old one I got creamed about, found it and chopped it more while waiting for base track on new veterans tune, pure folk...yeah four! hell it's a all synth practice on a machine I rarely use--you can hear why? LOLOLOL!! What boredom and recoup hath wrought!!!
Alright...maybe start weaning the drugs :) Do whatever to keep busy, and be glad you're not in the Minnesota cold.
I am glad of that, and nada drugitos for 3 weeks!
Great - sounds like a good recovery!
ðŸ‘
Agree with Warren, Shine sounds very current. I went to the before/after comparison, and well, it is night and day. Bravo Susan.
Thanks, Thierry! StudioPros did well for me in 2017, and many times after that. I had a different agency/producer on the remix of "Shine", and that garnered much more attention, even a #25 on the DJ Times Dance/Crossover Chart in 2018, HMMA nominee, etc. Now, I enjoy picking out my own musicians and engineers on SoundBetter. Also, my own studio work has improved immensely...thank God :)
Beautiful work on Annie my friend, can you put down the English translation to this beautiful work! Kudos to Joel as well for sure! xoxo warren
Thank You Warren. Transmitted to Joel, of course :-) and yes I am going to do my homework tonight. Thanks for reminding me.
ah, it IS A LABOR of love!!!!
Indeed it is.
Taking a short break as I tackle my share of proofreading. OGPH, Inc. affords me a true sense of the time has come. Thierry and I have been diligently working to complete our corporate goals. We have one helluva legal specialist overseeing each step of the way. Time wise, OGPH, Inc. should have all the proofreading, narrations, illustrations, copyrights and trademarks fully completed for a mid-January 2022 launch. 350+ pages on the books including illustrations. Of course page count will be condensed once we hand the package over to the printer. In this new world for both Thierry and I, each chapter must begin on a new page. That's the industry norm. Who knew? Of course, in addition to the narration, the all-important soundtrack has been dutifully prepared. I am so proud of what OGPH, Inc. is bringing to life. We are already preparing ourselves for Book Two and Three. What a joyous test of skills. Soon, come the first month of 2022, we will so gladly share with you the task we have undertaken. God Bless. Take Good Care. May You and Yours Know Abundant Happiness. as always, your friend in music - pgo
BTW: Once we present this OGPH, Inc. baby before the public eye for all to experience, I have a 'bucket list' of music that my fingers guided by my imagination are anxious to be born. As a very dear friend was oft to say, it's never over, not as long as you are breathing and able to wake up come the morning sun. I'm still here embarking upon the mission of a lifetime :>)
Hot ! This is hot !
Ah! I drop my notes on the floor so much, I must stop writing them! Xoxo Warren
You are so funny Warren! Thanks for listening. Let me know what you come up with, with this technique LOL
Lol my friend, you've been listening to the results! Hahahaha Xoxo W
Thierry--"La Chanson Pas de Si"--a cool song, unique and fresh idea, as only you could create. You are full of ideas! Awesome. Love the musical interlude at 3:00.
Thank You Jeana !
Hey There Thierry, your tune,"La Chanson Pas de Si", is very Trippy & Cool!! I can hear this composition in a Foreign Film....5 Stars & Likes!! The French lyrics make this work quite well...Bravo!! Stay Safe........ The Corey's........
Thanks guys ! I am not quite sure about the fit though LOL ! It was just a pure delirium to produce, at spare times :-)
Thierry, the State of delirium can sometimes be a positive thing!! It obviously worked in this instance!! I actually quite enjoy the sound of French words...they sound unique and mysterious, cause I have no idea what is being said!! It took three years of Latin in High School, what a waste!!! Should have taken French or Spanish!! Toodles, Stay Safe, wear a Mask! Art Corey...............
A B C D E F G notes are La Si Do Ré Mi Fa Sol in french (from.1rst syllabus of a Latin chant). But even french people dont all know about the 1rst syllabus thing ;-) even if they learned Latin.
Thierry.....Wowza, I must not have been awake during that Lesson of Music & Latin....!! Thanks...Now I know, you have enriched my day!! There are so many things, I should have learned in my youth, but failed miserably..... T oodles, Stay Safe!! Art Corey..............
You may enjoy as well the video here : https://youtu.be/SQwUAUFz7Ig
Hi Tony. I am thanking you for passing by and rating so well the theme of Annie. I have to catch up on what's new with my connections. A bit busy these times. Meanwhile, take care. Any collabs in sight for you?
An extremely moving bit of work, T. --- I would find a request to collaborate from many folks in this environment a serious honor and a lot of fun to boot, can never rule it out. -- I am a vocalist with some ability - if I may presume to say so. Not well represented here, but a collaboration in that department would thrill me. Rock/pop/jazz/crooner styles are my strongest suits. -- When you have a moment check out my latest instrumental Sticky Tape. Absolutely no rush tho, I can be, actually am, very busy myself. -- Happy Halloween, sir! - T.
Sticky Tape is very interesting, how you melted the synth lead sounds in the jazz genre. It is a smart fusion. I also really enjoyed the dramatic atmosphere of Blue Skies ! Well done (ending dum dum dum... love them !)
Thank you for taking the trouble to listen and the comments, Sir! -- I'm an obsessive tweaker, micromanager, ever finding things to improve. I'll bet you are no different. -- In addition to the obvious jazz influence in your work, you have that strong classical disposition as well, which I love and envy. I have no formal knowledge or training in that department, but some time ago I started creating a string quartet. I visit it periodically, definitely a challenge. Perhaps one day it will see daylight.
Thank you for the stars, Thierry. I appreciate the encouragement, always and ever needed.
Thank You Cyndi for your 5* on Annie's theme. Hope you are doing all good. Xoxo
Hi Thierry, Beautiful composition, as always; my pleasure! All is well here, preparing my gardens for colder weather; this year has flown. Take care my friend!....xoxo
Rainy day here today... cocooning at home :-)
:-)..........
Thank You my partner in crime for your unwavering support and kind words. You 5* on Annie means a lot. For me and the person you know about.
It's a beautiful composition - besides, us criminals need to stick together :>)
A promise made has to be fulfilled
Did somebody say 5 without checking their spelling? Peter... are you (looks both ways) 5? (slaps knee.) Hope you both are well... And more to the point, get your project polished as it should be... 6
Thanks Nathaniel
Dear Thierry Coupey, another Masterful composition,"Annie", 5 stars & Likes! You play with such feeling & conviction in your music, wish I had that ability to capture the essence of what I am trying to compose, thru my instrument like you are able to accomplish!! BRAVO SIR!! Stay Safe & Wear A Mask!! The Corey's................
Thank you team Corey ! Nothing makes me happier than the first reaction. The very first message from the BJam community. Because I always doubt. My immediate surrounding here is close friends and none of them are musicians. So they are kind enough to feed me with their own impression from a "music consumer' stand point. It is true that it was well received by comments such as "oh it is beautiful, very emotive" and of course, it pleases me a lot. It is only then that after numerous listens, I dare posting it publicly. And then you come with such kind words. It makes my day and I start to really believe that I not only do music for myself, but also to touch a broader audience made of specialists. Thanks again the Coreys. Xoxo Thierry
Hey there Mr. Thierry Coupey, I am no Musical expert by any means.....have only taken two Theory Classes in Junior College and am not much of an accomplished Musician either, played some rhythm guitar....just average on a Good Day!! I have been exposed to several Genres of music over the years, and I believe that helps give me a pretty fair ear for music??? However nothing in the classical realm.....so I am still quite limited in my musical interpretations! I do know, when I hear excellent musicianship and those are the people I try my Best to surround myself with!! Hence, you have played and arranged two of our tunes!! And hopefully in the future, we will work together again!!!!! Say Safe & Wear a Mask.... The Corey's...........
I see from another post that you've had some sort of operation Warren. What have they been doing to you, I hope all is well?
Hi Bob, hip replaced, 14 days ago, I'm progressing well! Hope to be off walker in a week, then cane, then tap dancing... thanks for asking sir, hope all is well with you and yours! Cheers WH
Good news Warren. I know so many who've had that procedure and how tough it can be initially, but just how rewarding the outcome. Looking forward to the new tap dancing composition...........
Thanks much my friend, I hear the same. One knee replaced 3 years ago, other one with 2 years of stress will kneed it probably, but one step at a time!
As long as there's some of the original you left, all should be well. Or could this be a plot to have you completely replaced Warren?
LOL...you got it, but no plot that I know of...
Get well Warren !
I'm doing so my friend! Cheers to you! Xoxo W
Had confirmation today that I won't be doing any vocals for some considerable time. Last November my voice suddenly started to weaken in every day conversation. Discovered I had lesions on a vocal cord and I've had two minor ops/biopsies which determined that they were not cancerous, but each time my voice was messed up in the process. Examined by a laser specialist in a different hospital today and have agreed to have two laser ops quite soon to remove the remaining affected tissue, definitely a good move. However, it will prolong the recovery time for my voice and may take as long as 6 months to get it back properly, and it will not be as it was a year ago. (Hoorah some might say!!) Although I'm saddened, it is very much better than many people my age have to contend with. What's more, another door has opened as this one closed and I'm very excited to have a wonderful vocalist interested in taking on my songs. Just have to see what works out.
Bob, this is the Corey's, sorry to hear about your problems with your voice issue!! Good news about the biopsies, which were determined, that they were not cancerous!! It's good to see how optimistic you are!! Stay Safe Sir! The Corey's............
Bob - You do what you have to do to stay healthy. It sounds like this change could give your songs a new perspective...can't wait to hear what comes in the future for you and your music! Susan
Thank you kind folks. It is as you say Susan, keeping well is the main priority. There are many my age who would just love to be able to get out their front door. It may be quite a challenge to sing after it all but we'll see how it goes. I would also enjoy exploiting my present songs with a new vocalist as the demos are already done for them to hear. If not, the guitar will have to come out a bit more in a solo context!
Mister Bentley, may I wish all the best to you and yours. The voice can be such a fragile and temperamental instrument. We all look forward to hearing your voice. Most important, we all look forward to what musical treasures you care to share with us.
Agree with Peter. Bob you have the chance to be a solid composer as well as a great guitarist. Finding a vocalist for your songs is just a cherry on the cake for us all. Be proud my friend. All the best.
Thank you Thierry, very kind words. What a supportive community we are part of.
Plus fort que tout -- I took French in high school, but it ain't very good. Mischien weet U eets van Vlaams? :) Very nice work as always, T!
Oh Tony, thanks a lot for your comment. I am going to google your question and will get back to you soon ;-) I guess its about having lyrics in your birth language ? We ll see ;-)
I know very little in flemish Tony (probably much less than you in french). It is strange, since I lived my first 30 years in Lille (Rijsel) before I imigrated to Canada in 96, often crossing the Belgium border for the best chokletz and beers in the world. I only remember 'alstublieft' and 'dank U' :-)
Tho Dutch by birth, English is it for me. I am steadily improving my 'moeder taal', however - my 'mother language'.
So happy to have another selection with Music of the Sea, but in french this time: "J ai Tout Compris", a fun song in a reggae style, featuring my little sister plus her 2 children when they visited me in Quebec (2016).
"Coming out of This now" is a little gem Marilyn. Love it all, sorry to be that useless in criticism but I dont see how better you could have done. Plus the theme is totally current and appropriate after the pandemic.
Thank you, Thierry, I welcome any and all comments. I appreciate you taking the time and listening to my song. Have a good day. :o)))ðŸ'€
Dear Thierry, very Beautiful composition, I can hear this piece in a Film at the end Credits.... Wish I had taken French in High School, instead of 3 years of Latin!! UGH!! 5 Stars & Likes....excellent job Sir!! Toodles, The Corey's................
Thanks guys. I try to sing more and more and soon get some professional coaching. Are you referring to the funky song or the indie ballad / love song?
Oh never mind Art... just saw the notification popping up... thanks for the 5* !!!
Thierry Sorry, for some reason as of late, I have not been remembering to post the titles of the compositions I have just reviewed!! What a Dumb Ars I am!! Forgive me......The old memory re-call appears to be fading fast!! Art Corey...................
Good things are about to happen. Winds are finally turning, I feel them. And sails are ready.
I just made a fool of me. Posting a crazy song... top of my catalogue... Who will dare to listen ? (j ai le nez qui...)
very cool and different electronic piece Thierry, and Cyndi you too! whoa...i like the uniqueness of this allot! kisses, warren
About what Warren ? Thank you ANYWAY ;-)
oh damn--GIVE IT ALL!! sorry i guess i got carried away! xoxo w
Oh yes ! Dear Cyndi gave it all on that one :-)
Still dont know which of KatLynn or Shelby performances of Wonder Boy I prefer, Randall... They are both as catchy and a treat to hear. Melody is simple and rememberable. Thats what makes a great singer-song-writer style pop song. Love it all !
Thx very much Thierry. Thx for listening and the stars.
Hi Cyndi... was trying to find you on the PRO database search engine so I can register our collabs... are you at ASCAP ? what is your IPI please ?
I think I got it... there is Annette as a middle name isnt it :-)
Hi Thierry, So sorry that I'm just now answering you! Things here a little harried and full tilt. Yes, you are right; ASCAP and middle name Annette, and thank you. I hope that all is well with you. I have not been on line here, for over a week but hope to play catch up. Take care, mon ami! xox Peace out~
Thank You all men of Bjam for making Countdown to Sirius your number 1 pick in the Top10. Thank You all women for your number 3 pick. Love you all, and Houston too !
Marilyn, again I am speechless with your short animation picture Louisiana Bayou. Creepy ambiance in swamps. Loved the details of your fantastic animation and the vocals by River Rain. Music groove also adds to the atmosphere... Verdict, if I could give 6*, I would do.
Thank you, Thierry. It was indeed a labor of love, this one was at least 2 1/2 mom in the making. I appreciate the 6 stars my friend.
2 1/2 months ..
Peter, your Smile with Sir Messina is superb. I ENJOYED so much the 2 parts cleverly transitioning at 1:15 with the sax stabs. It made my day after a short night. Thanks for sending it to me. 5 * !!!
Preparing now a short documentary ala "Nova series with Neil deGrasse Tyson" to introduce the purpose of "Countdown to Sirius". Cool home made visual fx on the menu with a narration by a fellow broadjam member whose storytelling skills have always amazed me. Guess who ??
Hi Thierry--Thanks for listening to "Hope Prevails" and the stars and "Sebastian's Theme" and stars and playlists. I appreciate your support!
Analyzing note by note how you are playing my dear ;--) Chord progressions are so nice. You have been and remain THE piano soloist on this site because of this special touch ;-)
