Hello to the Corey Clan. THX for finding 'Being Naked' worth some stars!
Good tune PGO! Thanks for listening to our tune as well!! The Corey's.................
Glad to hear from Peter, I'm happy to hear that you are doing well. Wishing you the best!!!
so, my friends, foes and family ask, 'Peter, what have you been up to?' no longer do I give my old the corny answers: 'five foot eight' or the 'if I were doing any better, I wouldn't be here. I'd be in Kawaii'. truth be told? you really wanna know? stay tuned. somehow, I don't think you will be disappointed as a whole new world is in the process of being born. small hint: her name is Elise ©2021 OGPH, Inc. The manuscript has been approved. A narration script has been prepared for recording. 60+ Illustrations are being placed at their proper chapter locations. All this preparation then goes to the US Copyright office for registration. Talk about a labor of love.
Wonderful news Peter; eager to hear/watch your final production on "Elise"!
Well, I must say that I too, am not enjoying this new format, and not for the sake of it just being "new", but because it's not very user friendly. More than half a dozen times, I've tried adding songs onto a new album, and each time, it either does not save the original content, or, it adds songs multiple times, after having "saved" the deleted song/album, in order to start all over again! Also, in the old format, one could easily adjust the songs in the order one prefers, after placing into any album, which is not only impossible now, (or, at least, I have not found a way......yet?), but confusing because what is wanted as first, can be last. Plus, everyone's comments are not on my page; I must go to the "public view", before I can see all of the comments. I had no idea that there were more comments, until today. I'm sure that the good governer only wanted the best for his site, but it is not, in my humble opinion, better; quiet the contrary. I'm logging off, and really, what's the point? I'm not going anywhere, anyway......................
Well kid, you are in the MAJORITY! Don't leave, though many of us feel exactly like you do... all the best, (if you ever get this,,,) Warren
Again, not because I don't like new, but I find it unwieldy. I have just logged on to update my news and am now all over the place trying to find it - probably staring me in the face?! Just found it but it keeps refusing to accept the edit, verified on MS Word Count as 341 because it is more than 500 characters. Have passed info back to BJ.
Well good idea, several of us have done the same, hopefully real people from corporate will understand... W
I'm with you Cyndi, the new format is really set up for bringing in new members ...the outside of the package looks great however, to me it's like moving from a home with an open concept to another without. I think some subtle changes to the old format would have been much better IMHO.
Thank you all gentlemen, for your kind responces and commeseration. I'm tech savy, as I know most everyone here is, and I maneuver quiet satisfactorily on my laptop at work with very convoluted, medical software, and of course, with recording software, etc. However, this was a curve ball, with the "old" format, so easily adaptable to seeingly, everyone's capability. And Randal, you had a great point, in that perhaps, the old format could had profited from some updates, i.e., with the ability to alphabetically arrange one's Playlists, (which is now possible), or say, drag and drop certain features. And, to the other point that you made, it appears as if it is to entice new members......not one thing wrong with that, unless of course, it alienates the established. I will endeavor to persevere.......................... .......
.............that would be responses......:(
It is worth saying that the BJ team are taking notice of feedback. I reported what I saw as a real drawback in the review section. Previously I was able to play back a song while reading the peer review report so that I could relate to the comments or scores from the reviewer. This was not possible when the new BJ was released but a quick feedback note was all it needed and it has been both appreciated and resolved. I also fed back that Top 10 charts could not be shared, something I have done on FB sometimes. Either I had missed something at the time, or the feedback has done the trick, but that has also been resolved, charts have a share button. I also reported an issue about editing news which has also been resolved. To be fair, I'm sure the small team had a very large task on their hands and are grateful for constructive comments. As I'm sure we won't be reverting to the old system, we may as well get the best out of the new one.
I'm sure that you are right Bob; huge project, turning this thing around. I'm heartened to know that you were able to give and recieve some feedback through customer support. When I've tried, the only page that come up is the most asked questions, but the issues that I've formerly stated, were not among these. Perhaps, I can try to find a way going forward, to report mine. Thanks!
hi Cyn, i reach them by finding the zendesk email, it's there somewhere... xoxo w
Oh, okay...thanks Warren!
There's a link to feedback at the foot of this page. It might even be on every page?
holy cow Bob, you are right, it's down there, but I'd click HELP as the other one seems not to direct one to an actual "issue"? but yep, it's down there!! w
well hell, i see you have to click help desk but don't click one of the "below" boxes, way up on the RIGHT TOP is an orange phrase "submit a request" where you can plug in your email, your question, and they will respond...
...and by the way, why is it so hard? I actually have a broadjam email folder, where i have addresses of the zendesk folks, Anthony and/or Michael, and whoever else who answers...I use that with good results...
At the foot of the page I went to "Give Feedback" rather than the "Help Desk" then "Submit a Request". They are slightly different in that feedback doesn't necessarily require a response. But then I guess we've done this one to death now?!! Back to the music.........
Personally, I like the new veneer. It can be quite the eye candy for the non-member listening public. How we get them to this site is a question that perhaps the Good Mayor can answer. Being a 'BETA' version ('a work under construction') there are a number of features that require experimentation to find what one is looking for. Next comes the learning curve where one can understand the value of a given function. Not in any order of importance, being in the BETA Stage, I agree that given a top or bottom placement choice for any song in our catalog is a mystery to be solved. I have an idea worthy of experimentation. Upon listening to a member's emailed musical offering, how can we rate that song (up to 5 Stars) then simply add to a given playlist like the 'good old days'? Perhaps B'Jam is still working on that mechanism (I hope so). A character count (as before this BETA) was given so we could monitor our progress and edit right there and then. Song search in our personal work page would be most advantageous for those of us who have multiple song pages (I have five). All in all, I like the new look / it's slick, professional and an overdue upgrade. I believe the Good Mayor and Minions are reading our comments to ascertain how they will smooth out the bumps in the road. As a work in progress, it's a good start. as always, your friend in music - pgo
The experiment to re-organize than move songs to where we want them placed is as I had suspected. Once in 'My Home' click on the 'Manage' button. Click on ' My Songs'. On the left of each listed song is 4 pointed arrow. Click and hold so you can change its placement in the order of your preference. Excellent function as now, as you hold that arrow, you can move to any order you wish. This is so much better than before because we have complete control and don't have keep moving up or down one spot at a time. Talk about a real times saver. THX B'Jam for the new tool.
There is certainly a lot to like Peter and I think it will be much easier when we've all had a bit more hands on experience. There certainly are glitches, but that is to be expected. Just found a couple more when sending all you poor friends of mine a message with a song attached! I'm sure the good folk at BJ will be only too pleased to be kept informed of any issues.
hey Bob, i got it, and will now open it! ah miracles never cease... wh
Great advice Peter, and thanks for your input too. Yes, the song "arrangement-order-preference", (as cumbersome as that sounds:), is a much better way now, rather than inching them up, one by one, when in edit; only wish that the album song choices were easier to arrange as well, or perhaps I'm doing something.....or, not doing something....ha!
Mister Bentley, thank you for giving 'JudiAnne' ©PGOlach 5 stars and a playlist add. Much appreciated!
It was my pleasure Mr Olach, very original song, top production and wonderful musicianship. Thanks are due to you also for your endorsements, much appreciated - especially in the film/tv music. Lots of luck, Bob
Peter, Thanks for the more than generous review of "Mean Dreams". Someday I'm going to re-revisit this tune, clean it up a bit. Though chronologically I'm a geezer, I try to live life as a young man...so far so good. Congrats and good luck on your new ventures. Bill Dake (not 'Take')
Make Old Noise New / Make New News Old / perhaps that really is the same TUNE, the Same forgotten reason why WE NEVER STOP. as my mom would often say. 'TIMELESS IS AS TIMELESS DOES.' you my good friend would never disappoint my mom nor me.
Thanks for the *****'s on my new collaboration with Marvin Floyd. I always appreciate your feedback Peter.
THX ever so much for the stars and likes - my ex called me to let me know our friends's companion of 27 years had to be put down. she asked if I would write a song for Penny Boy, a true cowboy's companion. I hour later I called her back and sang this song over the phone. she pulled over because she was overwhelmed with tears. I knew Penny Boy and his cowboy because that's where we stabled our horses.
Great song Peter!
Thank yoU, BrothA - Much LovE, Trey & Vince
WTF: Why shouldn't the two of us CACK off so others can pretend to shine?
Huh? I think that's a compliment!! LOL STAY SAFE Buddy! W
only if you are willing to polish
I'm part German...no little re:polish hahaha...
in my mind's heart and soul I know Christmas is truly about the miracle of birth the birth of hope, the birth of forgiveness first and forever that we might forgive ourselves so we might honor that ancient rite that we must honor the blood of our beloved families, the blood of our Savior please, make no mistake, this is not a statement of judgment this is my simple wish for you and yours - be well and prosper hope, kindness wrapped with forgiveness are gifts we can not buy only a loving heart can present those gifts under the tree of life please know I wish you and yours - all good things so many of you have given me reason to smile
Thanks Peter, that is a great message! Take care my friend.
You and yours do as well!!!
Peter...Holy Crap Sir your song, "Rodeo Queen" is absolutely Beautiful!! Your voice is stellar and the Music is Gorgeous! 5 Stars & Likes! Is that you playing Guitar and what about the Harmonica?? The arrangement on this is Giant, yet so simple!! Toodles, Stay Safe..... Art Corey..........
THX Art for the kind words. Guitar work and harmonica are all me.
Peter, Great Guitar & Harmonica playing!! What would you charge to play Guitar & Harmonica on one of our tunes?? Art C..................
A very nice complement coming from your illustrious songwriting team. An intriguing query. Do you have a timeframe in mind? What would be the genre? It is important that the two of you understand my guitar work is strictly based upon open tunings I have developed over the years. I picked up the harmonica so I could jam with fellow musicians. I possess all of the keys and play with a number of styles. The OTHER GUY'S Production House, Inc. is my current focus. Hopefully were wrapping up our 3rd and final edit. The transcript is over 200 pages with 70+ storybook illustrations and what appears to be 17 compositions for a soundtrack. When all is said and done, it is my role to narrate the story for online streaming as well as presentation to some industry leaders. It will be mid to late January before we can send the package off to both the copyright and trademark authorities. Let me know what you have in mind, genre, timeframe and such. as always your friend in music - pgo
Peter, presently.....it's just a hypothetical request for your possible playing on one of our future tunes?? Just wondering if it could happen?? Sounds like you have a lot on your plate! That's a Very Cool Thing!! If we compose something, that may be in your wheel house, I will send you a text!! Toodles, Stay Safe!! Art Corey............
That's a bridge we will cross once we get there - bridge is also a musical term. My mind, guitar and harmonica are open to receiving your text.
Peter, you use open tuning, like D, G, etc?? And you are picking in a certain style, Travis picking? How do you make chords, do you use your thumb on different frets?? As you can tell, I'm in the dark with this method of chord composing!!! Art C............
my open tunings, while lovely based upon the overused drop G or D, etc. I have spent the past decades in making my own musical realms. as a few of my collaborators / musical colleagues have found, I have married the chords of a piano with the simplicity of a dulcimer. go figure. in answer to a previous question, I pick, strum, thumb over and bar chord using all the frets right up to the sound hole. even then, I sometimes use the chimes found above both the neck nut or bridge saddle. it's all about imagination, what can be made of these instruments. as always, your friend in musical curiosity - pgo
Peter Good Man!! Very Creative on your part!! So, I kind of have an idea of what you are doing!! I get a Low-Lever-Bravo for paying attention all these years!! I have so much Arthritis in my hands now, I can barely play anymore! This getting old stuff, really sucks!! Toodles, Art Corey.............
growing older is not for the timid - an adage that should never be forgotten. ointments of Penetrex, Blue Emu, Theraworx have found a place in my wishful cabinet. truth is, we can't turn back time; yet, we don't need to be slave to having abilities taken from us. me, I play thru the discomfort taking solace that the instrument means me no harm. perhaps we ask to much of our bodies after so many years of service, above and beyond the call of duty. me, I believe I can and will find that next plateau. will blossom unto the next future to find a realistic present tense. don't get me wrong - I just might might be mistaken. but, by all that is my will: someone's gonna have to prove to me I am even close to being finished. as always, wishing you and Margie, all GOOD THINGS!
Hey Peter, have you ever used CBD Salve Without THC (The chemical in Weed) ?? I have been using it for about two years now and it helps with the Pain! I also take Naproxen 500 MG for my three Low Back surgeries L4. L5, S1, a real deal Bummer!! Anyway, that 's my story and I'm stickin' to it!! Art C Fart C.............
BUYER BEWARE: Simply wish to give our B'Jam Fam a heads up. My partner in OGPH, Inc. has gone home to spend the Holiday Season with his family in France. Meantime our first official project is undergoing a third and hopefully final edit process. 253 page manuscript with 70+ illustrations and a massive soundtrack will soon be launched. Meanwhile, I am doing something I should have done at the beginning of 2021. I am sorting though and listening to some 50 years of recorded performances. While a good portion of this music is in a tackle box of work cassettes. Since mylar doesn't last forever, I am cataloging this menagerie as being somewhat historical, even if it's just for the sake of a keepsake. Bottomline - I will be posting some of these ancient and not so ancient ditties to my B'Jam page.Don't be surprised if I should add up to 50 more tracks to my song list when all is said and done. What can I say? I'm having so much fun traveling down memory lane. as always, your friend in music - pgo
Hey Peter. Thanks for the nice 5 star on my song! Appreciate it! Ed
Hey there Peter G. Olach, listening to, "Take It Easy", nice tune Sir, 5 Stars & Likes!!! Say.....who is playing the Flute & Sax parts, very nice playing!! Toodles, Stay Safe and sport That Mask!! The Corey's.............
My good friend and collaborator, Mr. Paul Messina. And, thank you for the stars and likes!
Peter,so who is playing the Flute & Sax parts on "Take It Easy", very nice playing!! Is that Mr. Paul Messina?????? Toodles, Art Corey............
read my previous comment - YES!
Hey Peter, is Mr. Paul Messina playing live or is he using loops?? So many Broad Jam members use Apps, that sound so incredibly real!! Sorry for all the questions!! Toodles, Art Corey...........
Not only does he play just about every woodwind known to man, he is also a wiz on the keyboard. Yes as to live performance, until you hear orchestral arrangements, percussion as such, Paul is as real as it gets. Go to his B'Jam page to hear his JAZZ albums. Better yet - look at my B'Jam discography where I share copyright notice with Paul. 2022 will also find Paul and I producing a new collection of musical work for international online streaming distribution. Lest we forget confirmation to chase international distribution with Nils Rurack (JTB), Ian Kenny (EHL), Floris Becker New Zealand), and of course, Thierry Coupey (OGPH). Once these collaborations are completed, copyright protections will be secured. I hope that answers your curiosity. as always, your friend in music - pgo.

POSTER CHILD 4 VAMPIRES For some reason it took 4 needle insertions to complete 5 full vials of my blood. Both arms and one hand finally got the job done without 'blowing out veins'. Some concern from the team as it took some 45 minutes to complete. We all had one goal, 18 blood tests to leave no stone unturned. My attendant team at the blood clinic were so kind and concerned. Every few minutes asking if I was alright, apologizing for all the needle insertions. They knew what they were doing. With so many tests that might need to be backup. WTH: What's another drop of blood worth to actually guarantee accurate results? Results from this 'bloodbath' will be published come this Monday. Let the games begin. Next on the agenda is a full screening at the Watauga Cancer Clinic. WTH: I am curious :>) A sonogram of my upper torso, specifically concentrating on my internal organs follows. All these people, these medical teams, have one goal in mind, my physical welfare and more time. Just this past Friday, my PCP remarked on how the medical teams think I am brave. Hell No! I have an innate mission. Leave them smiling. Don't complain. Smile. Just say thank you. Because I've known the truth since my birth. Don't need a label attached to my neck. We are all wear dated. Wash with care in cold water. Wash with similar colors. Low heat in the dryer. Born from cotton in the USA. Speaking just for myself, I never followed those rules. In fact, I just recently read my label. The big question I have - why weren't we given an owner's manual upon birth? Or, at least at the age of reasoning? Between you and me that was age two. Now, at achieving the age 71, I have no right to bitch about past, present or what is next. There are so many people, places and times that belong only to me, to those in my life. Yet, that past is also my future; the lessons that had to be learned and practiced. Ready or Not, Here I Am. Wear Dated Yet So Ever Alive. My Name is Peter. Please Know that I wish You and Yours a Never Ending Abundance of What is GOOD! May GOD or whomever you turn to for strength, Bless you and yours while providing the peace you deserve. As always, your friend music (life) - pgo
what can I say - never hurts to wash one's soul clean. my dear mum was oft to say, "Wear Clean Underwear. You never know when you might be transported to a hospital ER." such proper advice mom!
Sounds good
Hi Peter, I'm thinking about you and hope that all of your testing results, come back with great news. It is daunting, going in for a complete work up, but as you already very well know, having all of this info will help your physicians and nurses to care for you correctly, and prayerfully, with a splendid outcome for your continued good health! ......and yes Mum, clean underwear is always a good thing!...:) xox
Taking a short break as I tackle my share of proofreading. OGPH, Inc. affords me a true sense of the time has come. Thierry and I have been diligently working to complete our corporate goals. We have one helluva legal specialist overseeing each step of the way. Time wise, OGPH, Inc. should have all the proofreading, narrations, illustrations, copyrights and trademarks fully completed for a mid-January 2022 launch. 350+ pages on the books including illustrations. Of course page count will be condensed once we hand the package over to the printer. In this new world for both Thierry and I, each chapter must begin on a new page. That's the industry norm. Who knew? Of course, in addition to the narration, the all-important soundtrack has been dutifully prepared. I am so proud of what OGPH, Inc. is bringing to life. We are already preparing ourselves for Book Two and Three. What a joyous test of skills. Soon, come the first month of 2022, we will so gladly share with you the task we have undertaken. God Bless. Take Good Care. May You and Yours Know Abundant Happiness. as always, your friend in music - pgo
BTW: Once we present this OGPH, Inc. baby before the public eye for all to experience, I have a 'bucket list' of music that my fingers guided by my imagination are anxious to be born. As a very dear friend was oft to say, it's never over, not as long as you are breathing and able to wake up come the morning sun. I'm still here embarking upon the mission of a lifetime :>)
Hot ! This is hot !
You're could possibly your best to date. One minor suggestion - Dial down the reverb / echo. Just a thought.
You're right about reverb and echo - Vince said the same, when I get a change I'll fix it, Love you Brotha
As I originally attempted to state - I consider this to be your best offering to date. Your unbridled faith is so very much infectious and appreciated.
Peter, You're the ONE has been remixed - Put ur ears on it and tell us whatcha think......
Peter, we always appreciate when you give us some input, it's not an insult, it's just a critique, but as soon as we give one of our followers, friends the same advice they take it as an insult, it hurts their feelings -C'est la vie
Thank you so much for your 5 stars on I'd Be Lost Without You. That means so much to me.
You and Pat make a great team!
While my vocal cords are being treated, singing is out of the question so I'm trying out something I've always thought about, but couldn't justify - getting a pro singer to record the vocal. I have found a studio in the UK who provide this service at a very reasonable for one main vocal track and a harmony track which I can then patch into my own arrangement. Starting with It Won't Be Me Who Says Goodbye, the last - and quite rough, vocal I recorded. I have had very few of my songs sung by other people over the years so I'm excited to see how it's interpreted. Watch this space.
Should read "reasonable fee"!!
Mister Bentley, no matter who sings your distinctive lyrical storytelling, there is no mistaking the words and melody are born from your heart and soul.
Thank you kindly Mister Olach. I'm hoping they may become a little easier to place if the vocal is professionally sung - but who knows! I live in hope! Keep well. Bob
Thank You my partner in crime for your unwavering support and kind words. You 5* on Annie means a lot. For me and the person you know about.
It's a beautiful composition - besides, us criminals need to stick together :>)
A promise made has to be fulfilled
Did somebody say 5 without checking their spelling? Peter... are you (looks both ways) 5? (slaps knee.) Hope you both are well... And more to the point, get your project polished as it should be... 6
Thanks Nathaniel
Had confirmation today that I won't be doing any vocals for some considerable time. Last November my voice suddenly started to weaken in every day conversation. Discovered I had lesions on a vocal cord and I've had two minor ops/biopsies which determined that they were not cancerous, but each time my voice was messed up in the process. Examined by a laser specialist in a different hospital today and have agreed to have two laser ops quite soon to remove the remaining affected tissue, definitely a good move. However, it will prolong the recovery time for my voice and may take as long as 6 months to get it back properly, and it will not be as it was a year ago. (Hoorah some might say!!) Although I'm saddened, it is very much better than many people my age have to contend with. What's more, another door has opened as this one closed and I'm very excited to have a wonderful vocalist interested in taking on my songs. Just have to see what works out.
Bob, this is the Corey's, sorry to hear about your problems with your voice issue!! Good news about the biopsies, which were determined, that they were not cancerous!! It's good to see how optimistic you are!! Stay Safe Sir! The Corey's............
Bob - You do what you have to do to stay healthy. It sounds like this change could give your songs a new perspective...can't wait to hear what comes in the future for you and your music! Susan
Thank you kind folks. It is as you say Susan, keeping well is the main priority. There are many my age who would just love to be able to get out their front door. It may be quite a challenge to sing after it all but we'll see how it goes. I would also enjoy exploiting my present songs with a new vocalist as the demos are already done for them to hear. If not, the guitar will have to come out a bit more in a solo context!
Mister Bentley, may I wish all the best to you and yours. The voice can be such a fragile and temperamental instrument. We all look forward to hearing your voice. Most important, we all look forward to what musical treasures you care to share with us.
Agree with Peter. Bob you have the chance to be a solid composer as well as a great guitarist. Finding a vocalist for your songs is just a cherry on the cake for us all. Be proud my friend. All the best.
Thank you Thierry, very kind words. What a supportive community we are part of.
It had to come one day, and this is the day. Keep The Faith has been #1 in the UK, Europe and England since about February 2021, #3 in a couple of production charts and in and out of Earth for the last couple of months. Things have changed overnight to (more realistically) just the one chart #6 in England. I have no idea why this hasn't happened before but it was good for my ego while it lasted!
Mister Bentley, I sometimes wonder if these Top Ten Charts are driven by peer popularity. Give enough 5 stars and playlist adds, the elevator rises to the top floors, sometimes the penthouse. Just a few years back I actually had 46 Top Tens for a few weeks. My oh my, how the times they change. You sir are Top Ten in my book.
BTW: There is nothing wrong in feeding the ego as long as we don't become gluttons for acclaim. Been there and done that a time or two :>(
In a way, BJ is a microcosm of the huge music industry, and the charts are fed not just with popularity, but to some degree with marketing and promotional money. I would say that songs like "Keep the Faith" are proof that the finest and the best of integrity in songwriting do rise and make the bigger charts without the hype and money. You, sir, are an example of what honest and excellent songwriting is.
Thank you for your kind comments gentlemen. Not sure about all the very flattering stuff but it is greatly appreciated!! 46 top tens is quite something Peter, I think I've had 18 places at once time. Unfortunately none of this transfers into cash, but then very few people make money out of writing songs. Cheers, Bob
life is the road we're all bound on yes, and love helps us find our way every where we are going we find find people who will say come along / now come away stay a night / stay a day it feels so good to have you home voyager.....
Lovely words, Peter. Thank you! Mrs Kate
Thanks for the *'s on 'Now I Believe" Peter. The song is actually about the Apostle Peter...still working on it however - take care Peter!
Take Care and Stay Healthy!
hey buddy, nice job on Just A Fool...catchy! xoxo Warren
THX - Old School when I picked up an electric guitar.
sounded vintage but quite quite cool the lovely vestiges of the old school... xoxo wh
Hi, hope all is well? Do you have a single you would love to add on our playlist? Email mp3 file to radiomusicpromo78@gmail.com for Airplay.
Peter, your Smile with Sir Messina is superb. I ENJOYED so much the 2 parts cleverly transitioning at 1:15 with the sax stabs. It made my day after a short night. Thanks for sending it to me. 5 * !!!
Thank you Peter for your 5* on Let it Go. I had to decrease the levels on the chorus. My ears are still fooling me ðŸ'±ðŸ'±
I always find such beauty in your compositions. Not many people know you have a hearing impediment. Quite often, I forget until you talk about it. You are a good soul and that's why your music shines.
