God Bless You, Gregory Thanks for giving a review to my latest song: "Some People" I appreciate the fair and kind review of this song because I hope and pray that the lyrics to this song transcend across the country for the sole purpose of 'Uniting a Community' and world of people that are different in character, personality, race, and cultural orientation, yet make up this entire world today. Again thanks for your support of the review, and I take earnest heed to your comments. I am also glad to know someone is listening to what I really convey in this particular song. I do have a lot to say and hope that my message in song will continue to show my heartfelt meaning which is 'People' who exhibit great confidence and strength, and my motive is to let others know there is a healing from above, especially to the lowly in heart and wounded in spirit!! Kindly, Shepherdess Angie B.
Thanx for your review.
Thanks for the review of "Easy on the Eyes". Ya it's a sappy love song. Actually wrote this as a western ballad for a young guy in our group who was an actual cowboy on the Big Island of Hawaii where we lived. But the big Hawaiian kid asked me if he could sing it. I said how do you want to do it? He said Reggae....hence the bass line. ALOHA!
Outstanding feedback on "It Must Be You". You got it! Wasn't trying to sneak an unmixed/unmastered song out there, but yes, did jam it out there for a jazz submission. Actually I see it more as Rockabilly or possibly even R&Bjazz. Will be mixed/mastered. ALOHA!
Great review of "It Must Be You". It is fun to play and the riding bass line at 44 secs is a pure thought. I will certainly step back and look at the arrangement. Originality, well.....kind of a period piece. An ode to Freddie Mercury. ALOHA!
Thanks for the review of "It Must Be You". Your review is exactly how I feel. Put out a rough mix and, well......Play on my brother. ALOHA!
Thanks for the positive review of "It Must Be You". Kind of a Rockabilly/Light jazz thang. Will use your suggestion for the panning in the mix. Sorry for the rough mix, just trying to make some noise. Mixing and mastering soon. ALOHA!
Aloha from Hawaii, & thank you for the review of "It Must Be You". Your feedback is outstanding and we are in the studio TODAY addressing the constructive criticism you provided. If you have time I would like to get your feedback on another song: "Easy On The Eyes". God bless. Greg
Hey,Greg! Man, I wish I was in Hawaii! Maybe I'll retire there someday! In any event, it was a pleasure to review your track! Thanks for your comment and giving my feedback consideration. I've gone through recording engineering training and will be putting many things I learned to use in my own tracks, but it's always nice to share the techniques and recommendations I've acquired with others! Will try to get on your page and check out "Easy On The Eyes" I can tell you already that it's a great title! Peace, Jantony

Thanks for your review of "Easy On the Eyes" as yours was more on the positive side. It's funny the absolute gamut of reviews you get when you're hangin' it all out there. Some are down right nasty. Saw the comment below about classical music (is there such a thing as musical Nazis? I'm only joking). Actually my song went to # 1 in Hawaii on all contemporary radio music stations and is still on rotation. Thank God for ASCAP-they're taking care of me. I write in all genres so the next one on my profile is totally different. You keep it goin' too. Aloha-Surf's up!
Thank you for your review of "Easy On The Eyes". And as another reviewer said, "It is what it is". It's a song for chicks and the island girls love it as it went to # 1 in Hawaii and is still on constant rotation. And I am being truthfully funny here (at least to me ), got the ASCAP royalty checks to prove it, and they've been comin' in for years. Kind regards & Aloha, SURF'S UP!
Thank you for your review of "Easy On The Eyes". I couldn't agree more-"It is what it is". It's a love song and all the island chicks still love it. Oh and by the way this went to #1 on all contemporary radio music stations in the state of Hawaii and has become a local classic still on rotation and I have the ASCAP checks to prove it. Kind regards & Aloha!
Thank you for your review of "It Must Be You". Your feedback was excellent. I will most definitely consider your suggestions. Aloha
Thanks for the review of "It Must Be You". Any ideas on addressing your comment on "originalty"? I'd be totally open to any and all suggestions. Aloha.
Thanks for the review of "It Must Be You". Adding a horn section never even crossed my mind. GREAT IDEA (especially if done live giving all the players a shot to shine)!
Thanks for the review of "It Must Be You". Read your Artist Description and I don't mean to be preaching to the choir BUT-YOU GOT IT- giving it up to The Lord. God bless you brudda Ron and ALOHA from da islands!
Gregory: Thanks for the positive review (Old Hat of Chris LeDoux). I am a member of the Western Music Association and the Cowboy Poets of Utah. The market is shrinking for this kind of music, but hey, this is what I do. I appreciate your comments. Chris
Let's bring that market back! And you keep on doin' what you do! Keep it ALIVE brother!
Thanks for the review of "It Must Be You". I'm just a beginner, still young and misunderstood. Kind regards from da islands.
Gregory, when I write lyrics, I try to imagine I am standing in front of 1000 people, including my grandmother, and think, "what do I want to say?" Your art will live longer than you.
Hi mate Thanks for the favourable reveiw of my song " In this hell " It's set in the first world war and is part of a musical called " RUDI " that I have been writng for years. Nearly finished it now. Will be posting some more songs from the above very soon. Regards Thomas.
Where are you in Italy?
I live 100 kilometers from Milan (North of Italy)
Hey hey Stanford, thanx for the review of "It Must Be You". I think I wrote this song after a few rum based cocktails. I appreciate the feedback and I will certainly consider your suggestions as the song was never really even mixed or mastered yet. Just a rockabilly that I submitted for a "sultry jazz song". We dumped all the rock guitar tracks to fit the submission criteria. I write in many genres and this was a total experiment. Oh the things we do to make some noise. Aloha from Hawaii-Surf's-up! Literally.
No it's great fun and catchy too. I imagine you guys in white tuxedos, maybe smoking the odd cigarillo. I'm gonna lean back and enjoy my daiquiri !
thank you for the review we have lyrics for this just have to do the vocal really appreciate your comments thank you
Hey hey Alva, thanx for the review of "It Must Be You". I appreciate the feedback on the mix and the questionable genre and I will certainly consider your suggestion as the song was never really even mixed or mastered yet. Just a rockabilly that I submitted for a "sultry jazz song". We dumped all the rock guitar tracks to fit the submission criteria. Oh the things we do to make some noise. Aloha from Hawaii-Surf's-up! Literally.
Hey hey Joseph, thanx for the review of "It Must Be You". I appreciate the feedback on the vocal effect and I will certainly consider your suggestion as the song was never really even mixed or mastered yet. Just a rockabilly that I submitted for a "sultry jazz song". We dumped all the rock guitar tracks to fit the submission criteria. Oh the things we do to make some noise. Aloha from Hawaii-Surf's-up! Literally.
Hi Gregory, thanks for the great review of my song Icy eyes (new arrangment). Yes, I know maybe you cannot understand all the word. This is because my style of singing and also because I'm not an english native speaker... I appreciate your review very much
You have a cool singing style so don't change and no worries on the English. The song still ROCKS! Aloha from the islands-SURF'S-UP!
Hi Gregory, many thanks... Are you an english native speaker ? where are you from?
Hawaii
wow
And yes I my native language is English. I also speak some French as I lived there for 3 years and my grandma is French. I also speak some Tagalog (Filipino) as I met my wife while surfing in the Philippines.
I think you will enjoy so much in hawaii, so nice place !!! I've never been there
Is everything ok for you there? I've seen some picture... I didn't know tsunami hit the Hawaii too.
We are OK but but we were very anxious as we live 150 meters from the ocean. Some places did get hit especially in Kona on the Big Island.
I would be afraid too. I hope everything will be ok for you.
Thanks for your review! You might be onto something with your suggestion. I appreciate the thought you put into it.
