Hello Johnny, thank you for your review of "Loving Arms." To answer your question about the lead guitar, I simply used a regular lead guitar with no slide. This track was played with a Fender Telecaster through a Vox AC 15 amp with a Tube Screamer set to a mild, mellow tone. As for the vocals, I agree with you there too. It may be such that the song falls in a certain register that does not suit me well. I may consider re-cutting this song in a different key. Again, thanks Chris
Thank you so much for the positive review of "Backwards Country Song." You are absolutely correct in everything you said. I was simply trying to put a fresh twist on an old concept. The time you spent with your constructive comments really meant a lot and I take that very seriously. That's how I learn! Again, thank you, Chris
Emma, thank you for your extremely positive review of "Backwards Country Song." When I first cut the song, it was suggested that I slow it down a bit, so I did. Then, I ended up not being happy with that, so I cut it again and placed the tempo somewhere in between the two versions. So, in that respect, I'm with you !
Thank you so much for your positive review of "Backwards Country Song." I have had a lot of fun with that song and I'm glad you liked it. Take Care, Chris
Thank you so much for your generous review of "Backwards Country Song." I agree with the mix issue, as the version placed here has been re-mixed several times since I posted the song on this site. Again, thank you! Chris
ONE PRO MIX SHOULD END IT ALL, GOOD LUCK. LOU PENTA {THE CALIFORNIA COWBOY }
I sure appreciate your feedback on "Leave Her To Me." Thank you very much! Chris
Thank you so much for your raving review of Backwards Country Song. You're right, it is a lot of fun to play live and the crowds really do seem to like it. Again, thank you!
glad to hear your backwards country song-reminds me of me-peace-joe.
Thanks for the kind and honest review. You gave it a higher score than I would have. LOL. I just kind of slapped it and was curious how it would be taken in the rough. It's very interesting... some of my "country" friends have taken to the song, while others (and musicians) find it boring. Great experiment and lesson though. I'll check out some of your stuff when I get off this iPad... can't use Flash to listen to Broadjam's music. Thanks again, Chuck vanNorman.
I see that you're new to b'jam.....movement on the broadjam top-10 relies only on scores of 5......anything lower receives no acknowledgement and no movement on the charts......so, in the future, if you hear something good, don't be too finicky and give that artist the benefit of your sharpened pencil!
Patrick, thank you very much for your review of "Leave Her To Me." I truly appreciate the constructive comments you placed there. The cut you heard actually has "scratch" vocals on it as I intend to replace all vocals on all cuts as my CD get nearer to completion, so I am in a position to entertain anything as for what it would take for the song to "get there" as you mentioned. Again, thanks for your confidence! Chris Mezzino
Thank you for your review of Backwards Country Song. I appreciate your encouragement!
Thank you so much for your positive review of Backwards Country Song. The song has always been a lot of fun and crowds do seem to like it when I deliver it live. Although not a new concept, I did attempt to put fun, fresh spin on it. I think what I respect most about the review is that it was not perfect. I would rather it not be, so that I have room for improvement. Again, thank you. Chris
absolutely, great song ! send me a connection, we'll hook up...
Thanks for your review, Chris. Getting input from other artists is a great help for me in improving the quality of my songs. Tom
Thomas, I too, treat every review I get pretty seriously because that's how I learn and grow. Keep pressing on!
Regarding your review of "Ragtune" it was a submission to a licensing opportunity. They requested 60 seconds of Interesting Honky Tonk piano pieces for an online gaming company. I simply gave them exacty what they asked for.
Thank you Scott, I guess there's not much control over what songs come up in the review rotation, but based on what you said, then yes, you gave them exactly what they asked for and that's good!
