Hi Cortez Thanks for selecting my song "Hill Of Tara" for the Delta Airlines Flight Museum Marketing Needs Musical Content opportunity. Looking forward to working with you on other projects.
Hey Bill- I see your song, Hill of Tara was selected for the Delta Flight Museum. Congrats! My song was under consideration too. If someone had to edge me out, I'm glad it was you! lol.
Hey Randy it wasn't me it was that other selection :) One thing I have learned about these opportunities is it's not how good the song is necessarily, it's about what they already have in mind before they ever listen to the songs. Hill Of Tara is not one of my best songs. The other song I submitted Enchanted Kingdom has won many nominations and awards including one first place and one grand prize contest. Hill Of Tara has never won anything. go figure !!
I hear ya, Bill. I've had some of my songs chosen that made me scratch my head because I knew I had better ones. lol. But hey...a win is still a win! :-) If I ever get to the Delta Flight Museum, I'll see if I can hear your song playing. I wouldn't mind going there. I still enjoy aviation-related things. I was a helicopter pilot when I was in the Army.
Hey Bill, Congrats on the ISC acknowledgement.... it is fun to be in first place at such a high level.... Best, Chet Nichols
Thank you Chet !
Dear Bill, Congratulations! On behalf of everyone at ISC and our judges, It is an honor to inform you that the song "Enchanted Kingdom" has won First Place in the Instrumental category for the 2017 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). With over 16,000 entries from 140 countries, this is an outstanding accomplishment, and we applaud the songwriting skill and dedication it takes to reach this status.
Just released a new EP called "Hill Of Tara"

Wonderful performances here. Just previewed Winter Solstice and have to say that it was one of the better organic experiences I've had over the months. I see work going up to 2011, but what are you doing these days? Your team seems much too talented to just stop. Hope all is well, congrats on your nominations, well deserved surely. N
been attempting to make up for lost time. what good are my connections if I don't visit their world and take a listen to their work? thru this recent challenge to visit everyone, I guesstimate about a third have not logged in "over 30 days ago" according to their member page. what a tragedy if we lose their music or if I in some way have ignored their importance. here's one example of music I hope we never lose. http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=57258&mediaID=550698&play=true 1
Hi Roy I also have a complaint about one of my song reviews. This person however talented he is or thinks he is rather rude. This may not be one of my best songs however it does not deserve to be slammed or disrespected either. The review was not as bad as Mr Browns but like Mr Brows does not rise to Broadjams review standard of civility. Thanks Roy sorry to bother you with this but if person does reviews like this to Broadjams younger and less experienced artist it could be rather hurtful and destructive to them. Song Review General Overview What Genre is most appropriate for this song? World Song Analysis Would you recommend this song to a friend? 1/5 Does this song invoke an emotion? 1/5 Would you like to hear more from this artist? 1/5 Originality of Song 1/5 Production Overall Rating 1/5 General Comments that ain't classical. reclassify.... Bill, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will ask our customer service group to look into it. Thanks for your continued support and being a member of Bjam.....All the best, Roy
Man thats really sad.. reviewers like this should be removed immediately as it is a privilege to review peoples work. I had a similar experience as this a while back. An instrumental of mine that I consider to be of my highest quality work was reviewed by some inexperienced wannabe who gave me 1's on all four of the vocal related ratings lol... I couldn't believe you could be so out of touch as, but over all the reviewing process is a very cool thing and I'm usually very pleased with it. Thanks Roy.
Dear Bill & Frank, perhaps song review is not one of his talents. Too bad really, I find that being critical of my own work is very important and if that person only hears his work as being worthy, he's in for a shock. Remember the old saying " living well is the best revenge" I hope that your music gets on TV or a movie or something. That will generally silence all doubters and fools. best of luck Uncle Spider & the Electric Dirt Clods
Perhaps I should have explained to you that your composition was in the wrong category. I generally only review classical and Jazz. Your review was late in a long list of trying reviews. And as I went back and looked at your song, it seems you did reclassify. And if I were reviewing it as world music, or new age, as you have it now, I would give you the highest marks. But I cannot score a song well that is in the wrong category. I am sure if I put one of my songs in rap, or hip hop I would get blasted in reviews. Anyway, I did not intend to hurt your feelings, for that, I am sorry. I do humbly beg your pardon for my bumbling lack of grace in that review. Cheers! :)
Thank you Benjamin for getting back. That song is a hard one to classify. You are right, Word music is a closer fit than Classical however Contemporary Instrumental would be the best fit but not available as a category on Broadjam. It's all good my friend. I really like your music. Bill Wren
Roy, I'm upset by the disrespect given to me by another musician who reviewed my song 'Lock It In the Pocket'. There is no reason why he should have suggested that this song be named 'Popcorn Flatulence'. This is the second time this individual has insulted me with suggestions for names of my songs. I would like his review removed from my list please. 'Flatulence is the expulsion through the rectum of a mixture of gases that are byproducts of the digestion process of mammals and other animals. The medical term for the mixture of gases is flatus, informally known as a fart, or simply (in American English) gas. The gases are expelled from the rectum in a process colloquially referred to as "passing gas", "breaking wind" or "farting". Flatus is brought to the rectum by the same peristaltic process which causes feces to descend from the large intestine. The noises commonly associated with flatulence are caused by the vibration of the anal sphincter, and occasionally by the closed buttocks'. Thank you. Earle "(artist: grebe)" is the person
Earle, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will ask our customer service group to look into it. BTW:I just listened and it's a good jazz song. Good work. Good sax player.....Thanks for being a member, Roy http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=13557_87816 1
Earle, Your "Lock it in the Pocket" is a great tune bro!!!
Thanks, Paul! I appreciate your comments. I see that you are still doing quite well with yours songs: new additions and Top 10 placements. Just keep doin' whatcu doin'.
Yes, i concur with Paul and Roy. Good work and don't let a reviewer bring you down. I must say, I did learn alot about flatulence today.
Hey Earle flatulence comes from a-holes and anyone who writes something like that is a source of it. I think "Lock It" could use some rhythmic tightening up on some of the sax phrasing but we're here to improve and learn from thoughtful criticism. There is a sweet mood there with some nice EWF meets Stevie Wonder chord changes. Enjoy your music and know that others will too!
Hey Earl, Am listening to your song. Great sound. Nice tune. I do agree with Jeff that in the low notes it could use some rhythmic tightening. In the second part (high notes) you can hear that's your "comfort zone". Also in my opinion you are quite generous with the verb. A bit much for my taste. Tunewise..... great stuff! Really sad that some users only try to insult other members by being rude. Mostlikely out of jelousy. regards Floris
Great tune Earl very good funky vibe. I just recently received a bad review myself so I know how you feel. It kinda backfired on the reviewer if he/she was trying to make you look bad. All it did was bring the positive response to your song it so richly deserved and made the reviewer look bad. The best to you and you music. Bill Wren
Thank you, Bill for listening to and reviewing my song. I would have just accepted the individual's ratings and comments from his review, but the name calling was just so unnecessary. Thanks again.
How in earth are you guys? Haven't touched base with you in a while. Was on Broadjam looking at the Neo-Classical artist and saw your pic. Hope it is all going your way. Your music / vocals are truly awesome. I'm very proud to know you and be a friend. Wishing you all the best from Texas Bill
Hi Sharon Thought I would stop by and say hi. Love your work. Bill
Hi Bill! Major Congrats on the success of your new Album "Winter Solstice"...I will get a chance some day soon to take a full listen and buy it:). I have been so busy these days, taking a class in Music Composition for Film and TV through the Berklee College of Music - learning SO much, but takes alot of time too, turning in a score each week for a 1-3 minute movie excerpt....between that and teaching and volunteering myself, very busy these, but still working away on the next album:). Going to be really good, so will be in touch soon.... All the Best, Sharon
Hi again, Bill...sorry, I meant to say Congrats on the SONG "Winter Solstice"....I see it's on your "Journey Around the Sun: A Mayan Odyssey" album....that's the one I'm going to check out soon:). Sharon

Hi Fellas, love your sound and vibe! Don't hesitate to add sax if you haven't already- I love to play sparse and meaningful sax-flute! I Will keep working on my sonics as your productions are totally rewarding! -Best regards, Rick
Hi Rick Thank you for your kind words. I really do love that smooth Jazz sound. Here is a song off the "One Day In A Life" CD Live on Video called Night Fall where Sax is the lead instrument. Hope you like it. Bill Wren http://youtu.be/5yE2qq-uxn4 1
Hi Bill I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and performance of ODITL! left a comment on you tbe. I have now posted a song which reflects my true musical ambition "Nightfall" which is especially for you to hear while I am on my gig in Phoenix today. Njoy and hope udig it! It is from my last real jazz album "The Instigator" It is a very intimate git/sax duo
Wow Rick love your sound. Very beautiful. your the man:)
One of the reasons we came out so well on the sonics is we worked with Grundman Mastering on the Journey Around The Sun : A Mayan Odyssey"CD www.berniegrundmanmastering.com They do a masterful job. We tried to produce a sound quality every bit as good as the best label. Maybe just to prove the point we could. Bill
Thanks for taking the time to listen to Nightfall as it is a special song/recording for me. I have learned that you can't polish a turd, and am working hard to get my mixes to sound better and slowly but surely after reading some valuable info it is starting to pay off. I am working on a very elaborate jazz recording for which I will take some time mostly due to funding but I am not in a hurry and have already written some lovely new pices one of which is an hommage to pat metheney whom I look to for musical inspiration along with some others that have been so musically blessed....! Thanks again Bill for communicating with me and I look forward to hearing more of your music while traveling this spring. stay in touch- Rick
Thank you Till for your music review and comments. 2012 Winter Solotice/Between Heaven And Earth are track 1 & 2 off the "Journey Around The Sun: A Mayan Odyssey" CD. This concept album is my musical take on the Mayan prophecy of 2012 . Thanks again Bill Wren journeyaroundthesun.com
Tried to buy your cd on CDBaby but no luck....
I called CD Baby directly and had them look at both albums on their system. There were no problems at all - no red flags. I asked questions, and everything seems to be in working order. There is inventory in stock, and no issues downloading. Till what specifically was the problem? The CD Baby person wondered if you just got timed out - you know,.,,if you don't finish the transaction within a certain period you have to start over, just like when buying airline tickets online. Sorry about the problem Till let me know if you have any more problems with it, if so I will send you a MP3 version. Thanks Bill
Hi Alan thank you for reviewing track 1 and 2 off the concept album "Journey Around The Sun: A Mayan Odyssey" Bill Wren for more detail see the albums site journeyaroundthesun.com Thanks a million Bill Wren
Thanks for your thoughtful comments and review of our music. Bill Wren
"Bill Wren and Frank Ralls have crafted some gorgeous music. Very cinematic, yet emotionally accessible. Evocative melodies combined with excellent production create a very satisfying listening experience." David Arkenstone
Hi Davod. Frank Ralls is a brilliant musician and arranger. He arranged my song "My Heart Belongs To You/with Eric Tyler" and it came out fantastic. All the best, Felice Kaye-Cooper
You are so right Felice Kaye .....see comment Man Behind The Curtain http://www.facebook.com/BillWrenFrankRallsMusic 1
Hi Peter Thank you for reviewing my music. This piece of music was a cut off the new concept album "Journey Around The Sun: A Mayan Odyssey" It is a musical opera about the 2012 Mayan Prophecy. We will soon be touring the US with full accompaniment. You can learn more about the project if you like at journeyaroundthesun.com Thanks again Bill Wren
Hi Pete thank you for your review. I wanted to fill you in on the music you reviewed. The piece you listened to was a cut off my second CD called "Journey Around The World: A Mayan Odyssey" This album is a concept album and what you heard was a interlude (track 1) called "Winter Solstice 2012" and (track 2) called "Between Heaven And Earth" Every song on the CD is interconnected. If you would like to get an ideal what the overall theme was we were trying to accomplish, the albums web site is journeyaroundthesun.com Thanks again Bill Wren
