Hello Jim, thank you for your comments regarding my song 'I Wanna Be With A Man Like You' I think you have a great voice and I like your song Dear Jane. I am sorry if my reply has taken sometime in getting to you but I have been ill but I am back now fully recovered. Lindsay
Sorry Lindsay, didn't mean to mislead you! I do not sing on my Recordings. Not good enough! I write the Lyrics and the music and have my selected artists sing them for me. I have two versions of Dear Jane! The one with the picture of Chess pieces is the latest! Glad you liked it. Hope you are fighting fit now! I will listen to more of your songs for the five stars you deserve!
Hi Jim, since you said you select your artists to sing them for you, want to we collaborate sometimes? haha, I can be your next song's singer ;) Cheers! Tracy
Hi Jim, I do the same, I cannot sing, but I write the lyrics, have some help with the music as I don't have recording gear. I am fighting fit now and thank you for the 5 stars. Lindsay
Hi Tracy, I had problems putting the right info into BMI at the beginning. Your ownership of lyrics and music has to add up to 200%. Is that the problem?
I had problems even to know where I put in the song info :(
Hi Tim, hope you are musically busy and the family keeping you out of trouble! Congrats for achieving level 2 in, you know where! I had the song "When You Gonna Hit" music changed a bit. It was too brash! I think it is quite a good Duet. I like when she adds solo, then you both finish it together! I could imagine a couple of Country singers singing it on the Stage, to each other! I can only dream! Also a singer from San Diego, Bob Warren heard my song, "Dear Jane" and asked if he could record it. He sings it at his gigs on the San Diego coast. Both the songs are here in Broadjam when you have time. Would you be interested in singing, "Dear Jane" in your style? Cheers, jim
Congrats on all your success on "One Night Stand"! Well done.
Thanks Jeana! They promise the world but any return will be negligible? BMI accounts at end of year will be a true reflection.
haha yeah, I seriously don't know what is going on with BMI, I have a hard time registering songs even, knowing that you Jim registered with BMI. Would you be able to let me know what is this problem? O.o thanks a lot! Tracy
Hi Tracy-- FYI your reply to Jim Aitkin posted to a thread that Jim responded to me, so he didn't get your latest comment. I listened to your #1 song on Broadjam. Very beautiful and I love your voice! All the best, Jeana Potthoff
Thanks Jeana for letting Tracy know about threads! Hope you are well! She has done well, winning the monthly competition. BMI is not the easiest to register songs on but I managed to have Lyrics and Composing adding up to the 200% for registering to be successful! I have a different version of "Dear Jane" posted here. FYI, I have cut "I see her dancing" to Three, Four lined verses, one line bridge and three choruses. Still to record time for it and adapt the melodies. Adjusting the music has been hard because verses were quite melodic when long. Will send you my latest reduced lyrics for perusal. If any opinion on music , feel free!
Looking forward to hearing your edits on "I See Her Dancing". It has a beautiful melody and the storyline draws you in.
"I wanna be with a man like you" is. Quite a mouthful!" Plenty going on and swings into the Hook effectively! Good confident vocals! Ended abruptly though! I'm same as you! I just write what I like and comes to me! You might like my, "One Night Stand" or a story like, "The Promise" or "Drift Away"!
I forgot to mention, The three songs mentioned are performed by Kimberley Dunn from Ottawa!
Just listened to your "Rebirth" on YouTube! Great song, with strong vocals on progression. You have an angelic quality and strong vocals when needed. My songs are on all platforms also! Our Genre are different but there to be appreciated! You might like my video on Broadjam; "Drift Away"! It is definitely different! Will listen to more of yours Tracy! Really Top songs and individual sound!
Hi Jim, wow thank you so much for the acknowledgement and appreciation! Yeah your style is different than mines, but it is really good. Listened to your "one night stand", I can feel that raw emotion in this song. Looking forward to your future releases as well :) Cheers, Tracy
Appreciate that Tracy! I see you are new on Broadjam. If you hear anyone's songs you rate highly you can give them up to five stars. It helps promote the song hopefully into the Top Ten Charts. You will get a notification Of your songs breaking into the Top Ten with a few "5 Stars!"
ahh, so is that how the top 10 charts works haha, yeah I am not quiet sure how did my two songs so far broke into the top 10. But yeah I just added "rebirth", hopefully that can be rating to top 10 soon as well :) Tracy
You comment and rate peoples music 5 stars and they will reciprocate!
Tracy, Welcome to Broadjam! I was browsing members and thought I would listen to your work! "You Are Your Own Best Friend" is a lovely, accomplished and perfectly personal song, as you have stated. Absolutely Love your Lyrics, melody, hook, instrumentation, vocals and the way your voice becomes stronger as the song and message progresses! Def. 5 Stars from me. I have read that you should, "write what you know"! I would add, "Write what you "feel" as well"! One of my songs is a deeply personal one also. The rest are how I see things or what pops into my head and pulls me in that direction! I look forward to hearing more from you. I usually ask if there is a song from Artists Playlist that I really must hear but you only have the two! Of my songs I would recommend, "The Promise" piano, or "Drift Away"! "One Night Stand" is presently being promoted for airplay and tv shows. Welcome, jim
Hi Jim, Thank you for the listening! I will definitely check your songs out, damn... Sounds like "one night stand" is a good song then if it is being promoted for airplay and tv shows. Yeah, my goal is by the end of this year, possibly two more songs will be released. So stay tuned to those ๐' Also, follow my music platforms if you have not yet, all my songs are on YouTube, spotify, and well here at broadjam and bandcamp and elsewhere around the world as well. Thank you for your listening and suggestions again! Best, Tracy
My latest song is of a Fictitious Romance, akin to Leonard Cohen's, "Dance me to the End of Love" which is in movie on YouTube. It has three distinct melodies: one of which, is a solo (3 times) where they dance in the mist on the video I wish to make for it. Unfortunately, the pianist I used from "Fiverr" does not feel the music, nor Lyric! Any advice?
Hi Jim--I couldn't find a song on your Broadjam page that fit this description. Do you have some kind of recording for it?
Listened to your Hallelujah Moment Acoustic! A lovely song from the intro till the hallelujah repeat at the end. A gentle song with meaning! I enjoyed the Lyrics! I'm a Lyric man! All my songs are Stories! Try some out! Congrats on winning JL Comp! No mean feat! I achieved finalist in UKSC, Dallas and World Songwriting Awards this year! ("The Promise" and "Drift Away")
Thanks, Jim! Congrats. on your successes! I'll check out your music. Susan
Hi Tryst, really appreciate your 5 stars for Drift Away (ensemble) That was an instrumental I created from my original song. I created a video for "Drift Away" which is on my page. Video gives impact to the lyrics!
Jim, Thank you for 5* on "Timeless War"...since WWI we have had a hundred years worth of war... so little amount of peace between....saddens me that power and greed runs our world.....love and music should be our main stay.... in music, Delta๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ
Hi Tryst, "Don't Walk On By" is a Very Powerful Song! I watched the video! Drums, music, voice, pictures, all set the tone. It's a Work of Art! Makes you think! Congrats young man! Def 5 Stars from me! I recommend my, "Drift Away" or 'The Promise"!
Hiya thanks Jim for the nice comments on the song and video, appreciate it, will check them out ty
JIM: THANKS FOR THE FINE RATING OF "THERE IS NO WAY I'D ASK FOR MORE" & "MAYBE WE'LL FALL IN LOVE AGAIN"... I APPRECIATE IT...GEORGE SLADEK
Thanks for stars and Playlist addition. As I have said, my taste is Eclectic, so expect the unexpected!
Appreciate you listening to my, "Dear Jane" and five stars!
Sure. Bob Warren did nice job on vocals and guitar.
Randall, I am in a Facebook group run by Sandy Ramos, a female Songwriter who has written many top songs. You are only allowed to post songs on Friday, and she listens to every one to consider passing on "free" to song pluggers for film, recording tv etc. You can also pitch to specific opps but that costs about $30/ $35 a whack! Here's the Facebook page! "Songwriter pitch opportunities network"
Thx Jim
George, Thank you for 5* for both my spoken word pieces... They both come from real life...."violets" as close as last October... again thank you!... in music๐ถ๐ถ๐ถDelta
Hey Delta, just listened to Timeless War. WELL DONE! Love the writing, the emotion, the production, all stellar! Love ya! Mrs. Kate
Kate, Thanks, I wrote "Timeless War" from life... mine.... Not long before I meet and married my husband who in 3months was drafted and war called....
Apologies for breaking in to your conversation, but when I saw your man, Delta, was drafted I thought my latest song, "Dear Jane" may be relevant! Feel free to hear it!
Timeless War is extremely poignant and to you, personal. Makes one think and be thankful! Nice!
I am working on a song I wrote called "The Ladies from Hell" about WWI Scottish soldiers in kilts and German liking kilts to skirts... let you know when I have it finished if you like...in music Delta๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ
Look forward to it Delta!
VERY NICE...GEORGE
George, With this new minefield both Mrs Kate and Jim Aitken have been use your area for conversations to me... hope you don't mind...thank you for the use... ๐ถDelta
Hi Robert, liked your Collab. Vocals not bad either! Seems you are going to be doing a few more! I am involved with someone from the States, in a Collab with a difference! I know he is looking for other artists who are interested! He is in talks with companies who will promote his Project Worldwide! 50/50 writers/ composers returns! Read below his explanation to me and if interested, get in touch. I'm about to send my "Dakota" Music off to him! So here is what we are doing. We wrote 50 lyrics for the 50 united states. Each with state specific things in the lyric. Some love songs, some political, some cowboy songs, etc. We are looking for 50 diverse artists to each make a song in their own style. 50 songs, 50 partners in the project. It seems you are from the UK by your site? Not a problem. We have contributions from all over the world. It's all about making great songs and working together on this collaboration. If you are interested, pick two states. Or I can pick for you and send the lyrics. Most people have delivered a scratch demo in about a week. But it's a giant process, so not a huge rush
Hi Jim, Great to hear from you! Thanks for sharing this opportunity....sounds fascinating! I wasn't entirely sure if the project involved adapting one of the 50 songs that have already been written, or if it is about creating a brand new version similar to the one that has been written for that State? I'm not sure that I have the headspace at the moment-our 14 month old is now at walking stage so my opportunity to work on my music has been very limited! The collab with John took a lot of finding odd moments....rather stealing moments! It worked out well though..... How did you come about picking Dakota? My interest would be towards Ohio, where I taught for a year.... How long do you think the project will stretch for? Coincidentally, The Pars were playing Killie today....a bore, nil-nil draw! R.
Yeah, important thing first! Kellie really need the points since they have played one more game than leaders. He was going to send me two songs but when I told him I would have to send my version off for the music then record with a singer he decided to select Dakota for me. That was last Sunday. He says most folk return a quick demo in about a week or so. I really was not sure about taking it on since I have only created my own music whilst creating the Lyrics. Which I know will fit the melody. He is hoping to start releasing them in April. I reckon you would be good and different! A bit like me!
Thanks, Jim.....I'll give it some thought! Thanks for sharing this with me!
The 50 States Project, I created the music and recorded me singing it with my 12 string straight to the iPad. He wants me to sing it! He says he has the equipment to enhance the vocals and add instruments as per! Your voice is unique, so ideal I think! I was amazed how easy it was to create a melody to fit the words. He says I sound a bit like Bob Dylan. (Never thought he could sing very well)๐' If you are under pressure, let it go! I've another potential proposition Which is less onerous. My music is being showcased on a US Radio 20th April. They want me to appear on the show to discuss my music/ etc. Basically you let them hear your music and they invite you on. No creating anything new! Interested?
Cheers, Jim....that's great that they are getting a chance to be on the radio in the US? I wouldn't mind if you were happy to pass on the details of that one? Sounds brilliant! However, don't forget that's not me on vocals! As much as I would love to sing like that, it's Cooper Moss from Nashville!
The Radio is Anchor.fm and the Show is Carolyns Corner. They are based in Beeville, Texas Here is a link to what they do. https://anchor.fm/carolynscorner My contact up till now has been in Facebook. Type in Carolyns corner. A photo of Radio Staff should appear. PM Carolyn. She is a very friendly person. She told me she has Artists appearing every week on her show up till May! If you do not reach her, let me know and I will contact her and give her your contact details.
Cheers, Jim!
Hey Jim, Just been listening to "Dear Jane"....very poignant and particularly at this time with what is happening across the world. I love the 'conversational' feel to it. I could genuinely imagine the soldier both reading and writing....is that you on vocals? Robert
Appreciate you listening and stars! The singer is from San Diego! The Producer (Wolfgang Grasekamp) who works on Randall Marks songs was working on a recording of my Drift Away with the girl who usually sings Randall's songs. I'm afraid, It didn't work out! Too many mistakes! However, I had sent Wolfgang a recording of me singing Dear Jane for him to produce the music. He let a friend, Bob Warren hear it and Bob asked if he could record it! He now sings it up and down the San Diego coast at his gigs. Bob sings it in his own style so doesn't sing it exactly as per my recording. But Hey Ho! It hasn't turned out too badly. I really needs someone younger to sing it! Any recommendations?
Another opportunity for you! Robert, I am in a Facebook group run by Sandy Ramos, a female Songwriter who has written many top songs. You are only allowed to post songs on Friday, and she listens to every one to consider passing on "free" to song pluggers for film, recording tv etc. You can also pitch to specific opps but that costs about $30/ $35 a whack! Here's the Facebook page! "Songwriter pitch opportunities network"
Thanks so much, Jim... I actually submitted to Sandy about 14 months ago, via the expensive $30 submission! So, to know that she will listen to a track for free on a Friday is excellent. I'm going to check it out right now. Interesting about the evolution of "Dear Jane"....the vocals are strong as they are but there would be no harm in giving my boy, Cooper Moss a try? https://www.airgigs.com/user/Cooper Moss
Great Vibe from the "Off" John and Robert! The beat will get them dancing and your sensual tone will set the girls hearts a Pumping Robert! Very nice one! Strong Solo violin with High Harmony notes in the Bridge would be Atmospheric!! Wish it was mine!
Hi Jim , Thanks for the 5 star rating of OLD FRIEND . I thought I recognised your name from somewhere , I'm also a member of the UK song writing competition Facebook page . I've made a few semi finals , and one final so far .I live in hope !
Hi, Phil, same here! I made Finalist with my Lyric, Sunset in 2019 but a contestant who submitted a song and same lyric won both. I think the organisers took the easy way out! If you type in "Songwritingcontest.co.uk" on the net You will see my, "The Promise" in the Final last eight in the Crisis Lyrics. It will not win I'm sure! It's too straight! This is my last submission year! I have proved a point to myself! Feel free to enjoy my songs on here as I will with yours. I just love a story!
Hi Jim , I've now switched my main focus to songdoor , which is another song writing competition . I pay for an evaluation , which I find quite helpful . At the end of the day , I don't think anyone has had a hit record via these competitions . I did get some nice publicity for my finalist song , and of course it gives one a nice little boost . I will be having a listen to your songs over the next few days ๐'
Just to jump into this conversation too....like you Phil, I've also entered Songdoor although only ever got 'Honourable Mentions' two years in a row. Well done on your final appearance! And Jim...I am certainly keeping my fingers crossed for your song in the Crisis Song category for this year. Again, I made it to the semis but not beyond that point.
Hi Phil and O.Q., I did enter Songdoor and received a glowing Review for "The Promise". However, I think I have reached where I am destined musically, and with Various Finalist placings this year and in UKSC 2019 "Sunset" Lyric", I am satisfied that I have achieved something tangible! So, no more Song Contests for me! I've had a whirlwind 16 months of music and enjoyed it immensely! Really enjoy the camaraderie, interaction and good music of fellow artists like yourselves!
Yup , I've had glowing reviews (and a couple of not so good ones) , plus a few honourable mentions of course , but I won't be entering so many in the future . Good luck with your entry Jim .
Will let you know Phil!๐๐๐ป๐ค
Not good enough I'm afraid!
Hard luck Jim .
"Just Love being in Love" is a really professional sounding song. Singer no less! A great Big Band sound. Is it a DAW you use? The instruments/ trumpets sound great! Will endeavour to hear more great music when time allows!
Thank you Jim , glad you liked it .My partner in crime handles all the recording side , I just do the writing .
Well I really liked the vibe, rhythm, beat and instruments. Was it real instruments?
No , sadly not ! We do use real guitars , as and when , but everything else is synthetic .
Well Songs stayed as Finalists in three comps. Fell free to hear my latest song, "Dear Jane" on here Phil!
Hi Jim, somehow you slipped under my radar but so glad to have found your music! Some great tracks here and great vocals by Tim and Kimberley. I aspire to you achievements, but I never enter contests like you have, I suppose I don't think my work is good enough. Thank you for your recent comments on my stuff. Like you I can't find anywhere to give your songs 5 stars etc, but no matter how many you get they don't open any doors. Anyhow, love your story writing, country songs and Enya-type arrangements. My only suggestion for commercial success is to try and keep them under 4 mins long. But what do I know? Best, Al
YOU'VE GOT SOME GREAT SONGS...GEORGE
You have some crackers yourself a George!
Well here we are again! Running out of superlatives! The video matched the playing mood well! Makes me think your music should be the Mainstay in a nice movie where some songs could have varied accompaniment to suit mood! Jeana do you share your music anywhere else? Concert, show, music society, etc.?
Hi Jim--Thanks for your kind comments and watching "Head in the Clouds". At this point, I share my music on Broadjam and Facebook, plus in September 2021 I released my first album on iTunes, Amazon, streaming, etc. Now to find listeners is the trick! I listened to your song "My Last Farewell". Very beautiful, well-crafted tune with exceptional lyrics and music. It sounds like a hit!
Well I looked for a month, finally used your middle name and found you on Amazon. I like Song for Molly, I couldn't vote because I am having trouble navigating this new website. I am on Amazon and Spotify also and taking a lot of training on sync liscincing. I"ll be a plain you now. friend lawrence K. bodien
Nice to have you on board again Lawrence! I'm finding the new site a bit difficult to navigate as well!
Hey Al, "You Can Think Again" turned out great...Nice job!!
Thanks Tim!!
You Can Think Again has an easy way about it! I first saw the Lyrics and knew it was a good one! Tim does a great Professional job on Vocals, as he does for mine! Your chorus is still going round! Well done sir! I cannot see where to give 5 Stars on here now! Any ideas where!
Thanks Jim, no worries about 5 stars etc - imo they don't mean anything on this site. I've had plenty in the past and nothings changed ๐'ช
Hi Al, appreciate your nice words! you have been on MY radar for a while now, since I saw that Tim appreciates your music with stars! Your songs are better Country than mine! I don't quite have that right Vibe! Correction! I aspire to your creative ability. Ever thought of looking at Music Xray! Joined two weeks ago and I have songs retained for use. Your submitted songs are sent to 5 experts who give an honest % rating and state whether it is advisable to submit to other opportunities! If rated highly you are put in front of pros looking for your type of song! Oh, I noticed I could give you five stars on the left hand side under graphics. Five stars boost your songs chances of going up the Top Ten in your category! Feel free! Regarding your "Enya" flavour in my music: So many people have commented on my music being of a Celtic (and now Enya) influence, so I have gone the full hog and used an Uilleann Piper, from your Spain to create a very Celtic rendering of "The Promise"! As it progresses through the latter stages it reaches an atmospheric Crescendo! Wonder if it could be a Film Soundtrack! will put it on my playlist here once I finish this (if I can suss how to enter it on here). Enjoy! The Promise "Uilleann Pipes" Cheers, Jim
Hi again, yes really enjoy your music. I will award 5 stars - when I work out how to do it - was much easier in the old system! I have been with Music Xray for a few months and have a number of my songs on hold. Seem to get more recognition there than with BJ, but having said that I'm still waiting for the 'breakthrough'. Hey-ho, fingers crossed, and for your Xray subs too. Good luck! Al
William, what's your story and how did you get started in music?
Thank you for asking Jim , it was like Homer Simpson buying Marge a bowling ball for Christmas , when i was 18 years old and had never picked up a guitar, i bought my then girlfriend a black Acoustic Guitar and a book of chords , and during the weeks before Christmas i started to learn a few chords , and once i created a chord or two my automatic reaction was to word sounds and lyrics , my girlfriend did get to hold the Guitar that Christmas Day , i did promise to bring it back and a promise is a promise so my girlfriend became my wife just so we could be closer and i love her dearly , and she now sits here long side me at my side in the studio on a neat little stand .๐' ๐' So i have always dabbled since that moment but around 7 years ago , i knew i loved it too much not to commit , so i decided to go on this journey of learning until my fingers stop moving (and i really mean that) , i love the mystery and magic and the craft , its such a powerful way to connect to people and i love the people in the business , it feels right in every way and finally the pieces are coming together , the songs are getting better , my voice seems to be improving , that wasn't the plan , but works well for my genre . I try to learn every day as if it was my first song because for me every song is connected , my last good song only exists because of the 10 rubbish songs in between , and here i am today still grafting every day between the gaps of the real world , and i wouldn't change a single hard that has passed , its a real joy to create and share the music...thanks you for asking Jim what about yourself , how did you get started , i can sense your passionate about your craft also.
Well, where do I start? Firstly I enjoy your sound. What I have heard I like. I'm sure your good lady is proud of what you are achieving: Even for yourself! Licensing will come if you have enough diversity of songs to match the music needs of tomorrow. There are so many topics and genre that need new music. I have noticed that drinking songs are needed if you have any! Did your wife actually take up the guitar? My wife is a sounding board for new Lyrics I write. You will have experienced where you can say something two or three ways! We sometimes need that detached point of view. I started by writing poems for the family at birthdays. Nothing grand but always highlighted their personal traits In 2019 I found myself scribbling verses while my wife was watching telly or reading. The very first Poem Epic was a very long story about a shy farmer who did not drink and was forced to go to the local dance in the village hall by his "Friends", who spiked his milk with the amber nectar! He meets a young lady and they basically have a dancing duel and end up married. Don't know where the idea came from. It just appeared! My scribblings were becoming songs and stories. When Covid stories of personal loss were shown on breakfast tv, I was so moved that I wrote, "The Promise"! I had to alter the lyrics to make it a marketable length. Covid Lockdown made me look to the internet to have my songs realised! I found the site "Fiverr" for musicians and singers and I have never looked back. In a year I have had great personal satisfaction from my various achievements. I am finding it a bit more difficult to get the right sound I want in my songs. We will see where time and tide take me.
Hi Jim , so she never took up the Guitar, her song weaves in and out the rooms as she potters , she loves to sing , how interesting you highlighted their traits in the poems and still in your songs , we the listener connect because we find ourselves in the songs its a powerful craft and the more we see of ourselves the more we want so we press play again. Jim it looks like the whole Covid era was a turning point for you , i am glad we get to hear your music , your craft of story shines , it connects , so may many stories yet to be told , so make us smile and cry Jim , there both good in a song , have a great week William
Just a quicky William! Go play my latest instrumental! It's right up your street in Ireland! Put up the Volume and wait for the bridge Crescendo! It's called: Uilleann Promise! If this doesn't stir your National passion, then nothing will!
Jim , my first tought was wouldnt that make a lovely " coming up the isle wedding song" small church out in the country , it's got the character . Great to have the instrumental , truly beautiful peice. William
Seriously love it! Just in bed and opened emails so what a delight! I am not here to boost your ego, but I can honestly say it was hauntingly beautiful. It's only my opinion but I reckon you have quite a unique style. Need a Manager? Promise you will consider putting it forward for opportunities! Nice one awilliam. Good choice! Musically it inspires me to pick up the guitar and play a new melody!
Thank you Jim , i am delighted it connected , if only it was easy to repeat the process and capture the magic every time , i am hoping it will find a project that it can enhance , you never know... but its with a great publisher now , its what i love about songwriting you never know !!!.
Well, you did it Warren! Second place in Dallas Competition was fantastic news! Bravissimo!
Well, the way it's been going, I'll take it Jim! An old Irish friend used to say "better than a stick in the eye..." LOL Stay safe my friend, Warren
William Cronin, your, "Beautiful Night" is a truly Crackin' Beautiful Song! It Reminds me of Jeff Buckley, the way he sings from the heart in an unconventional, but tender way! Heartfelt and lovely Lyrics! Right up my street! Glad you asked to be a friend! I would not have had the pleasure of hearing this otherwise! I've just been listening to the Dallas Songwriters Competition where my song "The Promise" was a finalist! It did not win, but they want to play it on a tv show all about the Competition! Feel free to browse my selection! "The Promise" would be my first push and then "Drift Away"! Both Emotional songs!
Hi jim , your name keeps popping up in front of me this week on UKSC ,FB,BJ , i am sincerely delighted for you , your having a great week all round and its so well deserved . Jim i have listened to " the promise " a while back on YT and how it pulls the heart strings is a credit to your writing skill and craft. Congrats also for ""one night stand " being selected today i seen your name on the list , i wish you huge successes with all your songs , i well know these highs are paid with hard work and determination and a few lows along the way . Broadjam is a gift Jim , i singed " deep went love " to a library this week , so i hope we share that warm fuzzy feeling for many a day to come . I am honored to have you as a friend along the journey , your positive vibes on FB are felt and appreciated also i could be wrong but i am sensing some Irishness in your melody's , could you be second generation ,. lovely to chat Jim and sincere congrats on all your good news !!!
Appreciate you listening to, and giving 5 stars to "Drift Away and "The Promise". I know they are not exactly your genre so thanks! When I selected one of yours to hear, I viewed the lyrics of three of them first, then selected! What song would you suggest I listen to from your Playlist?
Jim i just reloaded Jupiter so you can have a listen , we all have a go to song , Jupiter was my first song that i signed a Pub deal for and in my naivety i thought it should be taken down after singing so you have given me a reason to put it back up. have a great week Jim , the weekend seems to have flown by ,take care William
Hi Kathyjo, just selected "Today" to listen to! Voice like velvet with expression! The music rhythm and relaxed sound swept me along. Your lyrics I am delighted to see do not conform to the Industry VCVCBC! A great swing to the song! Should be on, "Ellen Dejeneres" show! Delighted to accept you as friend here! Would you like to suggest a song I must hear!
Really like it Tim! Wish there were 3 verses cause I'd be ready to sing along with infectious chorus again! Love the banjo! When I saw "Lead" I was looking forward to banjo solo. Should be on Radio! Probably is!
Hey thanks Jim ... That is very encouraging to hear ! I'm happy that you liked the Banjo part !
Wow! Another breathtakingly beautiful vocal blend!
For which song?
The Promise. Strange that they provide a frame for comment above each video, but not keep the comment attached to that video.
Same after listening to a song. I have learned to name the song at the beginning when making comment! Thankyou for support! Jim
I listened to each of your videos and I am particularly impressed with the talents of your vocalist, Kimberly Dunn. I wish you all the very best with your musical endeavors.
Kimberley Dunn .com will reveal all. Kim has my song "The Promise" on her site to offer clients at End of Life Ceremonies, (Funeral Nusic) alongside 5 Classics, Ave Maria, you raise me Up, Wonderful World, Hallelujah, Pachaebels canon! Popular because of its so relevant lyrics
Indeed, she has a very impressive resume. I feel truly blessed to have heard her voice through your music.
If I am honest, I do not hear her singing as emotionally in other songs I have heard her sing. Maybe i am bias! Unfortunately, Kim is working in another direction with her music. She is compiling an Album from her own studio and working at official functions, Weddings, Funerals etc. I found her on Fiverr at onset of Covid Lockdown but she suspended her account there six months ago to concentrate on her own music and outlets! A massive shame! I had written a song specifically for her which was set in her town but alas I am changing it slightly for another artist! It is an Epic Tale kind of song. I like a good story! A bit like Leonard's, "Joan of Arc"!
Oh, that sounds cool. I would love to hear it when it is completed.
It will be too long to be commercial but I write what I like! When I have enough songs I suppose I can call them an Album!
There's nothing wrong with that. I've composed a number of instrumentals, lullabies and other non-commercial pieces just to get the music that's locked up inside of me out.
Completely understand!
BTW, thank you so much for the 5-star rating on my song, Down the Backroads.
Genuinely on Merit!
A hauntingly beautiful blend of vocals and harmonies! A perfect fit for the message within the lyrics.
Appreciate the words from an accomplished Artist!
I finally got the chance to watch your video, Reach The Sky. Very nicely done. The song is very well-produced. The singing and musicianship are both top grade! Thank you for sharing with me the beautiful sentiments of nature and God's creation.
Mutual congrats for your videos!
