Chanell J. Wilson artist songwriter from the East Bay Area. Writing since she was 13 & performing since she was 3; she studied Theatre Arts at SFSU, Screenwriting/Editing at the Academy of Art University, & has a Vocational Certificate in Recording Arts at DVC & is a member of ASCAP.
After 15-years of creating a song catalog; Chanell released her debut single "Draw Near to Me", which gained National/International Radio Airplay & a nomination for the 2019 Endie Fiya Awards Best R&B Female Song. Her 2nd single "Black Heart on the Table" (04/2020)- a song about mental health awareness, conditional love, and how it impacts the human heart has received national/international radio airplay and was nominated for the 2020 Endie FIYA AWARDS BEST R&B FEMALE Song. She released her 3rd Single "LIGHT" (01/2021) a song about overcoming depression & shifting the mind to a joyous perspective. Currently, Chanell is completing her "Black Heart on the Table Short EP: A Warrior's Lament" (02/ 2021).
