Terry Blade is an award-winning Chicago-based singer-songwriter, known for using his unique sultry baritone to explore an artistic sound that fuses soul, r&b, jazz and blues with indie and folk influences. His musical style has drawn comparisons to artists like Tracy Chapman, Keb' Mo', Meshell Ndegeocello and Amos Lee. Many of his original songs often tackle themes of blackness, queerness, mental health, and intersectionality.

Blade released his debut EP "Misery" on May 8, 2020. The 6-track EP has since reached "gold" status on DistributeKings, receiving over 1,000,000 combined downloads, streams and views. His experimental single "The Last Macbeth" won the June 2020 Award for Best Original Song from the New York Movie Awards; the June 2020 Award for Best Song from the Oniros Film Awards; and the June 2020 Honorable Mention Award for Best Music Video from the New York Movie Awards. "The Widow," an original Motown-influenced ballad written by Blade and produced by Matthew May received the June 2020 Award for Best Original Song from the Florence Film Awards; the June 2020 Honorable Mention Award for Best Music Video from the Florence Film Awards; and a Silver Award for Director of a Super Short Film from the Hollywood Gold Awards.

Blade made history in the American Track Music Awards May 2020 Competition, becoming the first artist to officially place in 3 musical categories--Best Acoustic/Folk Song, Best Lyrics Video, and Best Cover Song.
