MindFree began when friends since kindergarten Mark Abbruzzese (guitar and vocals) and Keith Walsh (keys and bass synth) of Southern California got together in their living rooms to make new sounds. Pulling from the classic rock, glam, punk and indie sounds they both love, they quickly added a drummer and moved to a practice studio where they could get really loud. In 2021 they added Ric Rosario as their new drummer. Rosario was a natural fit, sharing Abbruzzese's and Walsh's quirky sense of humor and love for all music. Being from Hollywood, California was an added plus as the band is comfortable in an environment where creativity thrives. Since forming, MindFree has played clubs around SoCal. In recent months, CD Rios joined on bass for live shows and to work on new songs.
