Matthew Thomas is a singer songwriter from the suburbs of Chicago. Having lived in Indiana since 2006, though, he considers himself an adopted Hoosier. His most recent single, “Long Way Home” released September 17th and was added to popular indie music YouTube channel alexrainbirdMusic’s “November 2021 Indie/Rock/Alternative” compilation. His debut EP, “Mustangs & Thoroughbreds”  released October 29, 2021. The concept for the EP gives voice to the tension between the people we are and the people we aspire to be. Lyrically and musically, “Mustangs & Thoroughbreds” is an invitation to be honest about where you’re at but to not settle for what’s comfortable. Leaning on the musicianship of good friends, the EP was recorded at a basement studio in Cedar Rapids, IA and produced by Stephen West.
