Story Behind The Song
A road warrior missing home
Song Description
I was on the road and I got some really bad news, and I couldn't be there for someone that I loved. My home was in the desert at the time and I was living the traveling musician's road warrior curse: being far away when I should have been at home. The "Queen of the Castle" is like the Queen of Sand. You're really not anything when you're not there.

Lyrics
This road is frozen & lonely
I just got the bad news from you
The wind is anxious & changing
But there's nothing the mountain can do
No one is listening in the bar
And I've got you on my mind
I scrape the ice off & load the car
Just give me anything to pass the time
Would you wait for me
Would you come
Would you ask me to stop
Baby say something
This is all we've got
Don't you ever give up
The storm rolled in & rocked the coast
Just as our hearts would divide
We celebrate the snow at Arapahoe
Sing & dance as you just try to survive
Would you wait for me
Would you come
Won't you ask me to stop
Baby say something
Is this all you've got
Don't you ever give up
