Song Description

I like the descriptiveness of your lyrics. I can envision what you are describing. Lots of good images being drawn with the words. I like the way you blend the music. Flows very easily with the vocals. I simply like this kind of song. I listen to a lot of music that follows this path. I can imagine this song being on the radio, once it had some professional tweaking. Also, your vocals fit this song too. You convey the pain and concern.

									RIVER OF PAIN
                                   ( STEVE DAFOE 2009)
                                      (COPYRIGHTED)
CHORUS :
Fmaj7 C
I'M STANDING ON THE EDGE
ON THIS RIVER OF PAIN
IN THE SUNSHINE OR THE RAIN
ON MY OWN RIVER OF PAIN
LIVING ON THE EDGE
ON MY OWN RIVER OF PAIN
VERSE 1:
Am7 Dm7
SOMETIMES GENTLE BUT OFTEN VIOLENT
Am7 Cm7
THROUGH TO ITS MURKY DEPTHS
Am7 Dm7
THE BOTTOM NEVER TO BE SEEN
Am7 Dm7
NEVER TO BE TOUCHED THE BLACKNESS
Am7 Cm7
IT CAN ALL FLOAT BY OR CHURN HIGH
VERSE 2:
Am7 Dm7
THE SUN CAN SPARKLE GOLDEN ON TOP
Am7 Cm7
BUT THE CHILL OF ICE EXISTS BELOW
Am7 Dm7
WITH LIFE AND THINGS NOT SEEN
Am7 Dm7
THE WATER CAN IDLE BY ON A GOOD DAY
Am7 Cm7
OR ROIL FAST IN A BAD WAY.
VERSE 3:
Am7 Dm7
AND WHERE THE RIVER ALL GOES
Am7 Cm7
NO ONE REALLY DOES KNOW
Am7 Dm7
AS IT WEAVES THROUGH THE EARTH'S TERRAIN
Am7 Dm7
IT JUST MELTS WITH OTHER PAIN
Am7 Cm7
ROILING AND CHURNING AGAIN AND AGAIN
