Story Behind The Song

this was written some years ago when I was working with a cross-cultural ensemble...we never played it, but i still like the feel of it...it is in the style of arif and tolga sag or musa eroglu...

Song Description

this has some turkish music cliches in it...that was intentional... nothing very pretentious here...this is accessible and 'danceable'...the basic instrument is the saz...there is also kanun (zither) and accordion (not a turkish instrument, I know)with traditional turkish percussion...darbukka and bendir.
