Story Behind The Song
I wrote this for a friend of mine who's husband cheated on her with and left her. She was so upset and depressed that she actually felt ugly even though she's gorgeous! right after meeting her I wrote this song. I wanted her to cheer up so bad....I wanted her to put her good shoes so I could take her out on the town and get her feeling beautiful again in her Monolo Blancs or Jimmy Choo's or Dolce Gabanas...whatever stylish feel good shoes!

Lyrics
Good Shoes
You've been playing by the rules just a bit too long
Time to kick off your shoes and put your good dress on
The perfect Mother the perfect wife
Trying to build the perfect life
This is not what you deserve
This is not what you deserve
But nobody knows which way the wind will blow
So put your good shoes on come on now baby
Put your good shoes on come on now baby
Put your good shoes on, no more planting pretty little
daisies in his fields there's pastures wider and more green
Waiting to be seen
The mouse is playing around with the cat out of town
And you've been loosing pounds since the sky has fallen down down down
The perfect Mother the perfect wife
Trying to build the perfect life
This is not what you deserve
This is not what you deserve
But nobody knows which way the wind will blow
So put your good shoes on come on now baby
Put your good shoes on come on now baby
Put your good shoes on, no more planting pretty little
daisies in his fields there's pastures wider and more green
Waiting to be seen
The sky ain't down
And what goes around comes around
nobody knows which way the wind will blow
So put your good shoes on come on now baby
Put your good shoes on come on now baby
Put your good shoes on, no more planting pretty little
daisies in his fields there's pastures wider and more green
Waiting to be seen
Everything's alright so put you Jimmy Choos on
We're going out tonight in our Monolo blancs
Wear your Prada's wild, Dolce Gabana Style
We're goind out tonight so put your good shoes on
Good Good Good shoes on......
