Story Behind The Song

I started writing a jazz piano part with a specific purpose, but as much of the music that I write, this music had a life of it's own and took me somewhere that I didn't expect.

Song Description

A melodic jazz piano and drums with brushes starts out and is joined by bass in the second verse. As the piece progresses, the drums lay down a solid beat as the tempo picks up. Gradually percussion appears, then strings, and eventually guitar takes over for piano as the lead instrument. As the energy continues to build, a brass section comes in and builds to a climax.
