A smalltown girl (or Man) I will use man here. he falls and loves and gets engaged to his high school sweetheart. She ruthlessly breaks it off. devasted, he leaves their small town in Arkansas and heads to L.A. where he becomes a big movie star.
ten years later he comes back to the small town to find his ex in a bar-not doing well. he thanks her for breaking his heart because if that didn't happen he would have neer left the small town and became a sucess.
