Story Behind The Song

I was playing at small town festival called "Hillbilly FUN Days" in a band called "The Cosmobillys". It was a hot day and when the church ladies showed up the bass player said "The church ladies are here, you know what that means, Church Lady Pie. So we took a break and sat down in the shade and ate church lady pie. I thought it was haevenly so I wrote a song about it the next day.
