Although this piece is more busy and complex for my personal tastes, I think it is highly original; well structured; nicely arranged; and impressively textured. I think a live violin for the leave with live percussion would have made a pivotal difference for me. I felt a juxtaposition between the sophisticated composition/design and the artificial sound of some of the instruments--mainly the lead violin and especially the drums. I thought the violin was less prominent in the mix than I would have liked. I
If the Blue Man Group needed a lullaby to sleep, I think this would be it. I would be interested in hearing you play around with a faster tempo, and use a different type of percussion (maybe West African?) to go for a more indigenous vibe. I think that would be wicked. I'd keep your piece as an instrumental though as I really can't hear a place for a vocalist.
