Here we are, you and I,
near your gate in your sky,
where Paradise waits for me.
I should be overjoyed!
You will soon fill my void.
And in your arms I will then be free.
But my faith at its best,
leaves my soul to unrest,
with the moment of truth at my door.
When I'm scared, please hold my hand.
Help me to understand.
And ease my pain,
I can't take any more!

But I thank you,
for you are always here,
to answer my last prayer.

After life, when I sleep,
help my loved ones to keep,
all your kindness within their hearts.
Keep them safe, make them warm,
through this worlds coming storm.
And if they cry,
dry their tears with your love.
Until time has found the end,
and we all meet again,
save our prayers and our hopes,
by your door.
With your grace in my hand,
