Story Behind The Song
This is one of those songs that shows us how God can meet the needs of two people in search of another person's gift to complete their gift. John Garza, who had been writing lyrics for many years, yet without music as he does not play a musical instrument nor sings, was one day walking his dog down his block. He meets a new neighbor, Joseph Greear who happens to know a guitarist at his church, Steve Kim, who has been writing music, but has been unable to finish any songs due to an absence of lyrics. John quickly gave Joseph some lyrics to give to Steve and within a week, this song was born. The providence of God!
Song Description
This song deals with the acknowlegement of our inability to accomplish God's purpose in our lives. We are created to love, as God is love. However we can't truly love God nor our brother or sister without God's agape love. Without God's heart, we are all in desparate need of revival whether we realize it or not.
