Lyrics
I was real lucky to be born in Kentucky
where the moon shine still spills on them bluegrass hills
on a clear Kentucky night.
An ole boy and a girl can go for a whirl
at a barndance goin on somewhere
them twin fiddles are playin and a steel guitar
is still layin it straight to the heart
no wonder we can't seem to keep a banjo and a mandolin apart.
I was real lucky to be born in Kentucky
where the moonshine still spills on them bluegrass hills
on a clear Kentucky.
Oh-i was real lucky to be born in Kentucky
where the moon shine still spills on them bluegrass hills
on a clear Kentucky night.
And i will do whatever it takes to fish them Kentucky Lakes
while the catfish are jumpin
and somebody's a thumpin on an old uptight bass somewhere
and im the happiest there.
Oh-i was real lucky to be born in Kentucky
where the moonshine still spills on them bluegrass hills
on a clear Kentucky night.
Well-i was real lucky to be born in Kentucky
where the moon shine still spills on them bluegrass hills
on a clear Kentucky night.
Where you can't blame a man for lovin a woman
whose got pretty eyes and fair hair
where we play piana-which probably came from Indiana
on a clear Kentucky night.
Oh-i was real lucky to be born in Kentucky
where the moonshine still spills on them bluegrass hills
on a clear Kentucky night.
Oh-i was real lucky to be born in Kentucky
where the moon shine still spills on them bluegrass hills
on a clear Kentucky night.
Ah yeah-on a clear Kentucky night
on a clear Kentucky night.
