Lyrics

I'll always know what I'm gonna say
I won't have to think ahead
I'll always plan to tell the truth
Just like the Bible says.

I'll stay out of trouble, won't get spanked
And here's the reason why
I've leaned the ninth commandment
Which says you shall not lie.

Oh God hates lyin'
so I'm gonna hate it, too.
I'd rather speak the truth in love
Just like He wants me to.

When people see my honesty
They'll smile and this is why:
I've learned the ninth commandment
which says you shall not lie.

(repeat)

Spoken: "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." Exodus 20:16
