Passport to Power

Story Behind The Song

One year the theme for our kids camp was "Passport to the Holy Land." This song was written as a theme song for the camp. It was renamed to be the title track for my new 2010 CD, Passport to Power.

Song Description

Jesus takes care of the "God-shaped hole" we have in our hearts. He delivers us from the punishing fires of hell. He conquers sin in our lives, and makes us His servants, leading us to His Holy Land (heaven).

Lyrics

I had a hole in my heart, but You filled it.
And I deserved to burn, but You chilled it.
I had a rotten sin, but You killed it.
And I'm your servant now, cuz You willed it.

Holy, Holy, Holy Land.
Jesus has my passport stamp.
Son of God and Son of Man
Lead me to Your Holy Land.

As always, you bring every time...... this is no exception

A fresh, upbeat Christian pop song. In a genre where lyrics can tend to get repetitive, the artist was able to keep it new and exciting. Well done.

Happy uplifting melody

Cute song! The vocals seemed tight and the music was catchy.

Very clever song!! Really catchy and fun, with a good message!! Really nicely presented!

I liked the backup vocals with the lead vocal. A happy beat. Great arrangement.

catchy little tune. very enjoyable song. lyrics were great.

Ok for a kids song but seems to be in the wrong category.

Great song. I love the children singing the background vocals. The instrumentation is great. There's a bit of an island rhythm which is very appealing. I can see this in a children's ministry and even a children's play.

Great song! Well done for reaching out to our children who need these rhythmic songs to lead them to the 'Holy Land' Awesome job and THank YOU :)

Nice pitch, good backing vocals. Super catchy

Catchy tune. Nice inclusion of children's voices.

This is one of those fun songs great for all ages and yet it contains truths that are very important. Listened to it more than once because I wanted to really hear it again. Kids would love this in a Sunday School Class or it would be great for a Vacation Bible School. Loved the phrase "Hole in my heart but you filled it" And loved the many rhymes. Also loved the keyboard playing, especially. I loved the vocals and when you brought in the harmonies - really liked how that was done.

Catchey Tune! Clever lyrics too. I think this would be great for kids Sunday School or maybe even Vacation Bible School. Nicely done!
