Story Behind The Song
About 18 years ago, my husband became the pastor of a little country church. This song tells about Aunt Glade and Mr. Freddy, two of the charter members of the church who found a special spot in my heart.

Lyrics
Chorus: I really love those Country Christians,
The downright loving kind.
I really love those Country Christians.
They'll help you out when you're in a bind.
They're full of the love of Jesus
And buddy, they let it show!
I really love those Country Christians-
They're the right kind of folks to know, whoa whoa
They're a righteous kind of folks to know.
Well you take Aunt Glade over there,
If you like, she'll cut your hair,
Re-upholster your old chair,
Teach Sunday School year after year.
Let's talk about Mr. Freddie
Helping you? He's always ready
Just be sure he gets fed
Sweet syrup with his corn bread.
Just call them up and they'll be there.
Show you how they really care!
Oh - I - love.....
I really love those Country Christians......
These Christians like to pray and sing,
Thanking God for everything:
Their little church and all their friends
And lovin' that just never ends.
They'll keep it up till kingdom come
And then when this old journey's done
Continue on the other shore
Lovin' Jesus more and more.
Just call them up and yes, they'll pray
Livin' out that old time faith!
Oh - I - love....
I really love those Country Christians....
