Story Behind The Song
John 15:5 is one of my life theme verses. I can't do ANYTHING without Jesus. In Him all things hold together. I wrote this song to remind myself (and others) of that fact.
Song Description
Using the metaphor of autumn leaves and flowers, this song expresses that apart from Jesus Christ, we can do nothing.

Lyrics
Chorus: Apart from Me
You can do nothing
Apart from Me
You'll fade and die
Cling to Me
Beloved children
Abide in My love
In My love abide.
Autumn leaves of glory
Are clinging to the trees
Blazing red and orange and gold
Dancing in the breeze
One by one, they fall to the ground
One by one, the autumn leaves turn brown.
Flowers in my garden
are blooming bright and fair
Growing strong and beautiful
When rain water is there
One by one, with water they thrive
One by one, no water and they die.
Sometimes selfish days creep in
Clogging up my mind
When I'm not close to Jesus
In creeps my pride
Then He comes to humble His lamb
Jesus comes and loves me as I am
Apart from Him.....
There's people walking everywhere
Who haven't seen the light
Living in a loveless world
Stumbling in the night
One by one, they fall to the ground
One by one, brethren, they need to be found
Apart from You...
