Stables

Story Behind The Song

I was experimenting with a specific section of melodic material from another song, and over time it progressed into this piece. It is the 2nd song from "About a Clydesdale", my first solo guitar album.

Song Description

The interpretation of "stable vices" in this song is an allegory representing the loneliness and unusual habits that tend to form in humans (drawn from personal experience) when faced with social isolation. It is also meant to embody a certain restlessness due to a feeling of being restrained, captured, or otherwise rendered immobile (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritual, etc.) an unable to free oneself.
